I had hired OS Waterproofing and found myself feeling ripped off!!! Not only in the fact that what we got versus what the salesman sold us were COMPLETELY different, ranging from the in home energy efficient dehumidifier that moved warm air into my basement, to the sealing of all my basement walls and construction of a pump that will assist in moving water away from my house... To start off, the Dehumidifier.. it turned out as I was told by the installation team, that it did NOT dehumidify at all and should not be considered one!!!! All it did was move air out of my basement creating less pressure in the basement to attempt to move my upstairs air into the basement!!! I am not even sure how much I paid for this fan, but anything over ten bucks (which I know it is) is not worth it... Then, the sealing of my entire basement was a JOKE!!! The salesmen said that my entire basement would be sealed, but this is not true!!!! All they did was set up the pump, and dig a way to move the water from my house (which I could have had someone else do for a third the price). When they left, I still was faced with air leaking into my basement from gaps that I still have to fill. Basically what this means is that that expensive fan that they installed to move air from the upstairs to heat the basement merely pulls air from the outside!!! Not from upstairs, and instead of warming my basement with nice household air, I get cold drafts blasting me the whole time I am working in my basement!! So the fan was an even bigger joke!!! Then, when they were working in my house, I decided to work on a project I had in the main part of my house, only to return to my basement to find the foreman fast asleep!!!! Yes, that is right, he was asleep on some plastic in my basement. So, $10k later in a loan, I try to find a good feeling in the fact that they offer a life time warranty and my ho

We had our basement fully waterproofed by Ohio State Waterproofing. Our first complaint was that the cost was almost $10,000 and we were told the loan was a personal loan. I just recently found out it was actually a second mortgage loan, which affected our ability to refinance our home. They completed the job in two days, in which time we found one of the supervisors sleeping in our basement and it was really unprofessional. We had leaks on 2 occasions and they had to come back and re-dig our entire outside again. They finally got it right the third time. However, they said the dirt would settle around the house and it has not. We still have giant rocks they left everywhere. Not to mention they backed into our fence and broke it. So, out of it all our basement finally doesn't leak anymore, but it was not worth the hassle. I would stay away from Ohio State Waterproofing.
