Best Sushi in Boston (Greater Boston)
by meeps04
Yoshi's continues to be the hidden gem of Boston/Great Boston. With it's small yet defined menu and BYOB policy, Yoshi's delivers the greatest sushi in town.
The atmosphere appears quiet and empty, but it's to your advantage where you can dine in a nice quaint spot. Their sushi chefs are 2nd to none and will whip you up a custom roll or order if you can describe it. Bring your own bottle of wine or beer, and sit back and relax in this 5 star venue.
- Pros: Entire Menu
- Cons: Zero
Good sushi, great deal and BYOB!
by gameplan01
This is one of my favorite sushi places in Boston. I'm partial because I live a few blocks away and it's BYOB. The strengths of Yoshi's are surely the rolls. They use large pieces of good fish for their tuna and salmon avocado rolls, as well as their spicy tuna. Given, their more elaborate specialty rolls aren't superb, but if you stick to the basics you will be very satisfied for a great price. The nigiri and sashimi are average, with the exception of the scallop nigiri which is quite good.

Delivery was fast (they are just around the corner), but the food was well below par. The yellowtail was very fishy tasting, making me question the quality. The seaweed salad was OK, still not as good as anywhere else I have had. I tried 4 rolls and none were very good and all resembled each other in flavor. They put more avocado than fish in the specialty rolls. The naruto was bland. I am not sure how you ruin edamame, but it was easily the worst I have ever had. The beans were mushy and some pods had brown spots on them. I eat sushi every couple of weeks and like to try out new spots. This is the first time I have written a review but I really just had to because this place was very disappointing. I would never eat here again.
