I have chronic migraines, dizziness and neck pain from an automobile accident several years ago and I have been to many, many massage therapists who specialize in too many types of massages to list. Essential Bodywork listed the same types of specialties and the same price range so I decided to stop by and check it out before scheduling an appointment. The owner, Chris, was there and was very sweet, caring and experienced. She, and her cozy space had the right energy. Soon thereafter, I scheduled a massage via their easy internet scheduling site, there was no fuss with parking, the massage was on time and it was far better than many that I'd had in and around Lexington. What a relief! Finally a massage therapist who zeroes in, blends several types of therapies as needed, isn't afraid to just touch with kid gloves and doesn't stick to the Massage 101 routine. I left loose, relaxed and feeling better than I have in awhile. I highly recommend Essential Bodywork and Massage.

I really like Essential Bodywork because they have consistently good therapists and the atmosphere is really nice. It is very clean and has a good decor. They are always on time which is also important to me. It is a bit out of my way as I live in another town, but I coordinate it with my vegetable shopping at Wilson's Farm.

its easy to get an appointment and all of the therapists I tried are great. I've tried lots of places- this is my favorite.

Massage:
Essential's specialty is deep tissue massage and it's definitely worth trying for a unique massage experience. Try the pre and post natal massage.
