Dishonest, poor business practice, and poor work ethic

My fiancé and I just bought a small 2 bedroom house, we were excited to get a deep cleaning from top to bottom. I called Summerwind Cleaning based on the reviews given online, and spoke with Barbara she seemed very nice over the phone explaining that she would have 3 women $25 and hour for each, and they would do a deep clean of the house, the floors, inside the cabinets, the blinds, etc... She said to leave $180 on the table in an envelope and label it Summerwind for them. We were very excited to have them come. They came on a Saturday, which ended up being perfect because I had people coming before and after also to see the house. We left for a couple hours and I was so excited to come home to a fresh, clean, home. When we walked into the door, at first we questioned if they had even come. There was no “clean house smell”, but the envelope was gone. The floors had grass on it. It looked like they had cleaned the microwave, wiped down the counters and pushed dirt to the corner of the floors, it was horrible, and they didn't touch the inside the cabinets and we had waited to unpack our things so they could wipe them down, and the fridge still had mold on it. The couch was a mess, the blinds weren't touched, and there was dust everywhere. I literally started to cry, my family was with me and they were even disgusted. I walked up to our daughters room where they threw all her toys that were on the floor into her clean crib, including her push toy which was loaded with dust on the wheels. The dust on the floors seemed to be pushed into the corners, and they went under and behind nothing, again the blinds were loaded with dust and the ceiling fans as well never touched. The bathroom floor wasn’t touched, they had wiped down the tub and the toilet, but that was it. The same for our bedroom goes for the rest of the house. I was extremely upset so I called and left a message for Barbara and asked her to call me immediately, she didn’t call back, so I called again on Monday, and she picked up the phone, I told her how disappointed I was, and she said “I don’t understand they were there for 6 hours?!” (BTW ,we weren’t even out of the house for 6 hours and my father-in-law was over cutting the grass and said that they showed up around 3 with basic cleaning products, and there were two women, not three). I told Barbara and her story quickly changed, she said that there were two girls, and instead of $25 an hour for each girl the price went up to $30 an hour and instead of them being there for 6 hours she said they had stayed for 3 hours (got there at 1:30). I asked her to come over and take a look, she said she would and brought one of the girls who immediately tried to show me how she wiped down the inside of the freezer, I went to show Barbara the floor and immediately she interrupted, explaining that this is their quality of work and that she is sorry we don’t like it, but we’re not getting our money back (even though she gives a “guarantee on her website” if contacted within 48 business hours, they did not honor it) I told her I would show her the before and after pictures, and she said that she didn’t care to see them or the rest of the house, then she and the woman left. Don’t call Summerwind, they are dishonest, have poor business practice and work ethic, not to mention they completely take advantage of their customers, and clearly don’t hold themselves to a high standard.

The team of ladies do an excellent job, we have been using SummerWind Cleaning Service for 4 years and have been very satisfied. They are reliable, honest and do a great job. Would recommend them to anyone

The staff of SummerWind are very professional,effecient and reliable. Ceaning is done very thourough system. Enviromentally safe products have been used for the last couple of years. Have recommended this service to many of my friends.
