Waste of money – High prices, inexperienced staff, My haircut was uneven, color was so-so. Not worth the money (around $150 for a half of a head of highlights and a cut and blowout)
looking for the perfect place? – THIS IS IT!!!!!!! My experience has been nothing but wonderful here at Bliss salon.
I have been coming here for the last 6 yrs and have watched this place grow and in a business people come and go but that happens in all business'. i have had a few different people cut my hair and have never been dissapointed here. they are well trained and seem to really like working there. the staff is accomodating and make you feel at home. as long as i live on the north shore i will go nowhere else.
when i came this year in dec which i usually go to florida for a month i was suprised to find that they had a holiday blowdry and scalp treatment special for only 20.00. that was a real treat.
I love this place!!!!!!!!!!!! i look forward to my apointments , i feel like a queen when i walk out of there!!!!
if you are looking for a place , this is the one. funky decor and an expert staff that are accomodating in every way.
Just wasn't feeling it... – Wow, what a change..Not sure where my old stylist Kristen went. Didn't recognize anyone there. All of stylists are new(and fresh out of high school!) I only recognized the owner and maybe two more stylists, if that. I was at another salon on the northshore closer to work for the past year, decided to come back to Bliss about a month ago since I used to love it there. Not sure what has happened but will continue back at the other salon.
Inovative Salon, Experienced and Friendly Staff, Superior Service – As a long time client of the owner, Kim, I am well equipped to give a review of Bliss Salon. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a stunning atmosphere full of live plants, eye catching colors and inspired layout of the salon itself.
The front desk girls are very sweet and helpful, always offering a water or coffee. They will gladly get it for you or you can mosey over to the coffee bar yourself. Not only is there coffee, but several snack items in which I gladly partake. There is never much of a wait, but there are always the most up to date magazines displayed in several areas to peruse. Generally one of the assistants washes my hair; they try to have that same assistant dry your hair if not done by your stylist.
Though I do see the owner, I have had many interactions with the other stylists. Everyone there has a great attitude; they make you feel like a friend! You can see and feel how passionate they are about hair and customer service. People constantly ask me where I get my hair done. Kim is a multifaceted gem! She has the ability to do phenomenal hair and is an inspirational leader to her staff.
Avoid this Business – I have been a customer of Bliss for a long time but my last experience will be the last one! They have canceled on me last minute, and charge WAY too much for their products and service. Over the past year I have seen many new employees and a lot of the girls that worked there for a long time have moved on. I tried to stick it out but in the end, they don't care about their customers and only want $ MONEY $ !
On my last appointment I was booked with the owner Kim. After being greeted by what I beleive is at least their 10 receptionist this year, I was brought over to have my hair wash. It was washed by one of the assistance and then she sat me down in the chair. After about 15 minutes I noticed the owner on her cell phone. I then became agravted because it was obvious that it was not business holding her up. About 5 minutes later she came over, never apologizing for having me wait, didn't say more than two words to me and began to cut my hair. She did comment that I needed some color work done but that was basically it for conversation. She then walked away and about 10 minutes later a different assistant came for my blowdry. After she finished I went up to the counter and they rang me up $70 for what was in my opinion, the worst customer service I have ever received. In a time that the economy is tough, I can surely find a business that will appreciate not only my money but me as a customer. This place in my opinion has "very poor" customer service and ownership!
I LOVE BLISS! – I've been going to Bliss for a few years now after leaving another salon in town and could not be happier with my hair, their customer service, the atmosphere of the salon, etc... I get the whole works while I am there. Two process color and Cut and Blowdry. When you walk in the salon you feel relaxed right away! Every employee who works there is very friendly and inviting. I have never had a problem with my color or cut and I believe I have difficult hair. I look forward to my time at the salon. Give them a try and you will be a client for life!
Inexperienced... – I agree with the other reviewer. My Saturday appointment was canceled last minute..my color also wasn't left on long enough and the highlights were mixed warm and cool so it looked ashy in spots and warmer in others. I gave it another try because I was desperate and my medium brown hair ended up being way overprocessed. They were really nice to me and I wanted it to work out but my hair is just a mess now.
RUDE RECEPTIONIST – I have never been treated so poorly at a salon, they cancel appointmnets at the last minute and offer no apology, and when called in about being unhappy about my hair color the receptionist argued with me and blamed it on me and the shampoo I was using, I don't think so, it's called not leavign the color on for long enough for it to fully process, not my shampoo. If you want to have to schedule appoitments 6 weeks in advance and then have them cancel your appointment the day of then this is the place for you. Their are too many other good salons in Marblehead to go to and that will treat you nicely. p.s. you are NOT BLISS IN NYC give me a break they treat you better at Bliss in NYC and they deserve the right to have an attitdue they are good.
The only place I will go! – I recently started going to the Bliss Salon after a friend recommended it. My first visti included a blowout, and Jessica, the Stylist, did an incredible job with my curly hair!
I went back for my next visit to get a haircut and I have never been happier with a haircut.
