In Short – Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

I don't know what happened to this place. I went in a couple weeks ago on a Saturday night and I had called ahead. When I arrived, my name was not on the list and my husband and I had to wait an extra 35 minutes to be sat. We were happy to finally be sat once we were, but that happiness was short-lived. Our server was ok, but I asked for my steak medium-well and it came out well done and so dry. This used to be a great place when it opened but now it's an absolute mess. Looks like I'll be going to Texas Roadhouse from now on.

Great food with so-so service

I love going to the Outback Steakhouse because it is close to my house and I love baby back ribs. The food is always correctly prepared, my wife likes her meat medium rare, and we never leave hungry. The one problem with THIS location is its customer service. Every time we go there we see someone who has gotten the wrong food, the server didn't place the correct order, the courses came out in the wrong order, or in our case our server took our order then forgot to enter it and forgot that we were her table. The manager told us later that this was a training issue. I have personally witnessed 10 "training issues" in the past 18 months. I still go there because I love the food and there next closest location is 25 miles away. If you want great food and great service try Not Your Average Joes at Wellington Circle.
