Johhy's is the Place for Good Food, Friends, Entertainment – My first experience at Johnny's was wonderful. I met the nicest people, the wait staff is spot-on, the food was great and the music was a lot of fun. Playing pool or shooting darts, meeting new fascinating people and being greeted with smiles in a warm and welcoming enviornment! Hope to celebrate my upcoming birthday there in May! Keep up the great work. It is a fun and exciting place to be--especially for all of us "cool" cats! LOL! I highly recomment this place...one could almost call it your neighborhood place to feel safe and still get a little crazy! Come join me on May 12 and have some cake! --LeeLee
Awesome pizza and a fun venue for UFC fights! – We love Jonny's for UFC fight nights! There's a $5 cover but in exchange you're given a $4 gift certificate for food/drinks. I read previous negative reviews about the service but we've always had good service, especially considering we'll be at a table for four hours or longer to watch a fight. The pizza is amazing! We drive past other pizza places to get it "to go" when we want pizza on a Friday night but don't want to deal with the crowd. Definitely worth checking out if you love a good pizza and a fun atmosphere!
Not a Class Act – I have been to many a bar, sportsbar, etc. The bartenders are slow and have attitude here, very negative and will flat ignore you unless you raise your voice. Kerri a man, only waits on whom he feels like and when, Selina is a young very negative snot that has no business dealing with the public. If you want a good bartender Jessica and Judy are great. Johnny needs to realize his staff are serving the public and not some special elite crew because they are far from it. I can't take the poor customer service any longer and I am no longer going there. I have had enough of the attitude.
Now Jonny's Sports Bar – Been coming to Jonny's since it was Jonathan's Grille. Really noticed a change for the better. There is always something going on here now. Usually come on Thursday for karaoke and Friday for poker. Came in for lunch recently and played Buzztime trivia for hours. Also had a great pizza which was even better when I saw the price($5.99). Can't complain about half price beer either. Also, there are a ton of tv's so you can pretty much watch every game you want, including ultimate fighting which is awesome! Great place!"
The best sports bar in town! – If you're looking for elegant family dining, this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking for a great place to watch your favorite sporting event, this is the only place in Nashville you need to go. They have over 30 beers on tap and great food. Even though it's a sports bar, and yes, the menu is smaller than it was when this was a Jonathan's restaurant, everything that I've had to eat here has been great. The Buffalo Shrimp are out of this world... the best I've had anywhere in the country. The only night I would avoid is Wednesday night unless you're really into trivia (I'm not). This is now a 21 & up establishment and allows smoking. They have about 30 or 40 flat panel TVs lining the walls, and they even get some PPV events. Their happy hour special are great as well. Bottom line, if you're looking for the best place in Nashville to hang out and catch your favorite sporting event, this is the only place to be!
Now that's it's Jonny's, Everything is down hill – 2 for 1's are not great, they got rid of the Sante Fe Eggrolls (a HUGE MINUS IN MY BOOK) Avoid this place when you can. Guinness is too expensive here and the band that normally plays there needs to turn the volume down so people can talk without having to shout.
Major Decline – Stopped by Jonathan's tonight after I hadn't been there in a while. What used to be one of the better restaurants in south Nashville is now just a bar. The menu is a fraction of what it used to be, it's all about the alcohol.
Don't waste your time or money at this place – What a horrible place to go to watch a Titan's game. One girl working the entire bar and tables in the bar area. It took 30 minutes just to get a drink order in. Then they can't get the TV's working until 5 minutes into the first quarter. On top of that they refuse to turn the sound on the game up. What kind of a sports bar doesn't turn the sound up for the home team? Don't waste your time here.
Same as it always was – It amazed me that after all these years poor service and sketchy management can persist.
I left because I felt my family and I were inconveniencing the staff. Never again
