Fresh Food, Great Atmosphere - a Louisville Classic. If you love greek food, mainly in the name of Gyro's, then look no further than Angelo's "Omar's Gyro" on Bardstown Road next to Wicks Pizza Parlor. These are the best gryo's in town, and might I say even topping the cities Greek Festival Gyro's! Angelo, the owner, is a fabulous chef, and great conversation while you eat one of his delectable treats! Go check it out if you haven't already, it's great!!

Best gyros in Louisville. This is pretty much a "hole in the wall" kind of place, so don't come here for a unique atmosphere. Instead, come if you like gyros done the right way. A good gyros has lots of juicy, tasty meat and a soft pita shell. I don't care too much for their cucumber sauce, but the rest of their traditional gyros makes up for that. Other restaurants that put gyros on their menus are a joke compared to Omar's, so try it out. The owner is extremely nice.
