Do Not Patron Kingfish!. I would give it a zero rating but that is not a choice.I have been here many times by land and by our boat, not because of the food...it is barely edible. We use to go for the scenery and a drink. The owner, Greg Kimbrue, has acted unprofessional, errogant, and just plain rude many times to different customers. Recently, when a non profiy group that I work with tried to have a fundraiser in his restaurant he was difficult to work with, changed his fees as the date got closer and the day before canceled some of our entertainment which cost us 35+ participants and hundreds of dollars. Do us all a favor and put this man out of buisiness!!

reunion was a blast. set up for our event was perfect. manager was very accommodating and made us feel like the success of our event was truly important to the establishment. we had a great time and would surely book more events in the future.

i need more margaritas!!! Ark band please come back soon!. I have been coming here for years and thought I should show some love. I really like the owners and they always do a great job with bands, service, and value of the experience. If you have never tried this place it should earn a place on your list of things to do. Definitely have a margarita or rum runner or tiki drink. Surely you will see why after you try. Also, be sure to check out their band schedule. The ark band is a must see!! Enjoy your explorations, I know I have.

dockside rocks!. I made it here for the first time last week. I am new to the area and a friend told me that this place is a must. He was right.

We got there right before the band started. I thought the cover charge was pretty cheap $3, and it was actually worth it. I would have paid more for the band.

We stayed for quite some time and enjoyed some food and drinks. The guacamole was tasty and the rum rummers did their job.

Even better was being picked up for a boatride right from the restaurant. We came back later and the band was finished but the bartender was nice enough to let us stay for another drink while she was closing up. Thanks!

All in all a good time.

Owner is extremely rude. About two weeks ago, I made reservations for a group of about 15-20 friends of mine to eat out at Kingfish Restaurant in Bay City MI. I specifically asked the gentleman that I spoke with if there was a charge for a group this size to sit on the deck. (I work at a restaurant, and at that particular business, there is a charge.) On the day of our reservation, I called ahead and asked if I could bring in a cake, and the man said it was not a problem. We met at the restaurant at 7:00pm, at which time we were informed that the restaurant had booked a band and it would now be $5 a person to sit on the deck. I simply wanted to know why I was never informed of this before our arrival, so I went inside to talk to the owner. He came over and asked what the problem was, and I explained that I was not told about the extra charge for the ability to sit on the deck even when I spoke with someone earlier that same day. (I assume it was him.) He said that I should have answered the phone when he called about two hours earlier to verify the number of people that were coming. I began to explain to him that if a message is not left, I assume it was a wrong number and do not call back numbers I don't know. He cut me off mid explanation and told me I should have answered the phone. I asked if we could sit inside, and he said the wait would be fourty-five minutes, although the dining room was half empty. I said to my cousin, who was standing next to me, "Let's go somewhere else." I began to walk out the door, and she thanked him for his time. He followed us out to the parking lot screaming about how he didn't care if we went somewhere else and that he didn't want our business anyway and carrying on about how I should have answered my phone when he called. I tried once again to explain why I didn't answer my phone and was cut off again. As we were driving away, he was still standing outside ranting and raving to another employee. Word of mouth travels. Very bad business
