Owner Is Terrible/ Bad Business/Bad WAX JOB. Without being greeted at the front desk I told them my name, and that I had an appointment and they said that I would be taken back shortly. They offered me NO liability waiver to sign. I was finally greeted and was taken back to the treatment room by the esthetician 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. When she shook my hand to greet me our palms stuck together slightly due to the wax she still had on her hands from the client prior to me. This made me wonder if she even washed her hands between clients.

Once in the treatment room she told me get undressed as she awkwardly stared at me while I changed, as if she was in a hurry. She then instructed me to lie on the on table on my back. She didn't ask me any medical history, like if I was allergic to anything, or if I had ever been waxed before. With that in mind, I let her know before she started the treatment that I had only been waxed one other time and that I was nervous about the pain. She said I would be fine...She didn't prepare my skin with anything....(I was assuming an alcohol prep pad, baby powder, etc...) She continued to use the same stick that was in the wax , then transferring the wax onto my skin and back into the pot. (For sanitary reasons I felt that a new stick should be used to deposit the wax on my skin, seeing as how I did not know the client before me or how many clients it had been used on prior to me). The wax is not kept at a high enough temperature to kill bacteria and other microorganisms; although she did manage to peel a layer of skin off of my bikini area. During the treatment I asked her if she had ever had any clients break out from allergic reactions or skin irritations. She looked at my skin and said I would be once again, fine. After she finished, the only instructions she gave me were when to schedule my next appointment. I was not given ANY aftercare instructions. I assumed the swelling and inflammation and the redness would subside within a few hours. It only got worse.I woke up in excruciating pain and heat rising from my bikini area. The next day I tiny blisters covered the entire area she had waxed. Mind you, I had a little amount of hair left in the center...the blisters were everywhere EXCEPT on the hair follicles that were left. My skin was still extremely swollen. My skin started peeling on my bikini line from being burned.

I then walked back into the salon later that week to speak with the owner of the salon. She refused to assist me and refused to reimburse me for the cost of the treatment (which she has full control over). She said she would have to speak to her financial advisers before continuing forward. She asked for my phone number only and said she would be in contact. She never contacted me. I had to contact her, only for her to express there was simply nothing she could to do to assist me in this matter! She wouldn't even reimburse me for the treatment I paid to have this disaster!

In the meantime; I am letting EVERYONE know on every review site, how terrible this salon is!! They are dirty, unwilling to help, and apparently they don't care what happens to their customers. They are NOT willing to help a girl out when she has the medical proof that they gave her a BACTERIAL FOLLICULAR INFECTION due to their unsanitary practice! NEVER GO TO THIS SALON. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

Noelle is fab,. I have had haircuts and waxing here. It's fun to order an Elixir tonic and relax. Also, sometimes they have complimentary cocktails.

WORST PLACE FOR HAIR IN THE VALLEY. This place is a joke, there are no competent hairdressers here, the managers are immature girls that dress trashy and have tons of attitude, the place is dirty, expensive and reeks of nasty energy, wherever you go your better off than going here, even if its supercuts

Amazing. This salon is great! I thought my previous waxer was fast but this place is even faster and it's less painful. I'm so happy to find somewhere that has nice people and a smart owner. My previous place was owned by a complete idiot and she was so rude. This place was a breath of fresh air

Over Priced. I went to Wax Poetic on a recommendation. HUGE mistake. All I needed was a simple trim. The stylist did a wonderful job listening to what I wanted and did a wonderful job cutting it. However, I was charged $60 for a less than ten minute hair cut! The stylist didn't cut any type of style, just trimmed my hair!

To add to that, the front desk receptionists were not particularly customer service orientated and the place seemed dirty. The ambiance is not that impressive.

I have experience working in a salon and I know that rates can be adjusted to the level of difficulty of the cut. I felt used, and taken advantage of. My hair cut was not worth $60. Who wants to go to a salon where they try to jip you off? For the sole reason, I will not recommend any one to go to Wax Poetic.

the worst waxing experience of my life. I went to this waxing place without a personal recommendation from someone I knew, I guess that was my first mistake in seeking a decent Brazilian .

I waited over an hour for my appointment and I was the only person in there. The staff at the front desk, one of them I believe was the owner, was so inattentive and rude. I'm not the kind of person that needs to be dotted on either, but they completely ignored me!

The actual wax.. holy hell, what a nightmare. The woman was doing my Brazilian and my half leg at the same time, and was so aggressive. It was extremely painful, I couldn't catch my breath, my eyes were watering like crazy, and I started to feel really nauseous. I'm no amateur, and was shocked at how painful this was. The wax was boiling and I kept flinching every time she put it on my legs because it was burning my skin. I asked her to let the wax cool a little bit because it hurt, and her response was " Yeah well wax is hot" then again I asked her and she said "You're almost done" Are you kidding me? My skin was irritated for 3 days, and the whole point in getting the leg wax was because I was going to an event that I was wearing a dress for, that I couldn't wear because I looked like a leper. Not to mention my Brazilian was patchy. My friend came along with me and had a different person do her Brazilian and also had a bad experience.

the worst place ever. I would never recommend it to anyone.
