“great korean tofu”
“They have a great variety of side dishes to choose from and their barbecue is pretty good.”
“I'm a huge soon tofu fan, and when I found out that there was a 24-hour restaurant opening in my town, it was quite an exhilarating moment.”
Large size Korean food.
Honestly, I don't think that it is tasty. I had big expectation after reading the reviews here, but found quite disappointed. Their bbq ribs are not tasty at all, it is a little bit bitter. Unlike other Korean restaurants, their bbq ribs are usually taste sweet. Nevertheless, my daughter said she was OK with it because she doesn't like any sweet food anyway.
Their rice and tofu bowls are OK. However, the waitress seems not knowing much English (I found that there were all Korean customers). She could not understand me for the most of the time. I and my daughter had to speak English slowly, repeatedly plus body language to let her understand. Besides, I guess they had the rule of not allowing customers to take out the Korean appetizers. Unlike other restaurants, if I tell them that I want to pack them out, they would give me boxes immediately or even helped me pack them. This restaurant, or that lady kept saying "no" to me.
Anyway, the good thing is that their food size is big. Other Korean restaurant usually have small dishes, theirs are totally full.
Editorial Review. Quick service, sit-down Korean eatery attracts office workers, late-night diners with traditional menu items like hot tofu dishes, bibimbap, bulgogi.
24 hour soon tofu!. I'm a huge soon tofu fan, and when I found out that there was a 24-hour restaurant opening in my town, it was quite an exhilarating moment. However, the soon tofu at BCD wasn't really up to par, because there's too much soup and too little tofu for my liking. But they do give you free fish for an appetizer and noo-loong-jee at the end of the meal, which is a nice little treat.
This is our default late night dinning destination.. Sometimes you just get caught up in whatever you are doing and you get so busy that you forget that it is way past dinner time. By that time you are too tired to prepare anything and every restaurant in the area is about to close. That is...except for BCD. We always go to BCD whenever we are starving and just want to get our tummies full. They have great combo deals where you get their house specialty which is the tofu and you also get a serving of ribs or grilled beef. And of course with every Korean place you get your sides of kim chee and seaweed which are pretty good here too. BCD has never disappointed me and I have yet to experience a bad one here.
Come here for late night cravings. Whenever I feel like Korean BBQ in the middle of the night, I can always depend on BCD to be open and waiting for me. However, if I had the option, I would go to other Korean restaurants because this isn't the best of the best-it's just alright to good.
This branch is GOOD!. Here it goes again . . . the quality varies from branch to branch. The Garden Grove branch is OK but not great. This branch serves warm fish appetizer and excellent soup and excellent bulgogi. I'm not too enthused about going to the Garden Grove branch of this restaurant again, but I would DEFINITELY go back to the Rowland Heights branch. This one is YUMMY!!!
