I have been racing and riding motorsports since 1969.

I recently bought used snowmobiles for my wife and I.

One sled would not start, I did not have time to work on it, so I took it to Cycle Tech in Loves Park, IL late winter of 2007.

They called me with an estimate - piston cylinder scored-$700.00 to repair. I told them not to proceed and I would pick up the snowmobile.

I had to leave town for a week and picked it up on the Saturday after I returned home. When I went to pick the snowmobile, the owner? Jim was very obnoxious.

Dec of 2007 I had another mechanic look at it and the engine was fine - no scored cylinder- just a stator that he will by used and replace for less that $100 dollars. Nice try Cycle Tech!

I had a '91 that had those bizzare "giraffe" graphics on the seat...

Sweet bike until I let Cycle Tech (shop in Loves Park, IL) work on it. They did a full-on engine rebuild for me (to the tune of around $900) and after 4 hours of riding it seized up. Tore it down myself and found one of the inner cup washers at the piston had been dropped into the crankcase - smashed into a couple of pieces

When I called them and asked if they would consider accepting some responsibility for this, they basically told me to get bent. Almost made me give up quads for good.....
