Just GREAT!. The food was very good with nice variety. The staff was very nice and gracious. Will be going often with the daily buffet being under $6.

Best Indian in town!. We are regulars at Taste of India & we love the food. Sanjay is a great waiter... always friendly & helpful. Try the chicken tikka masala. If you like spciy food, the chili naan is amazing. Their samosas are also delicious. There's never a wait & it's not usually too crowded. It's a good spot for a quiet dinner.

Big flavors make this easy-to-overlook Indian spot a standout.. In Short
The neat little restaurant, spruced up with lights and the requisite Indian wall hangings, is a fine choice for conversation and comfortable dining. An eclectic crowd consists of Vanderbilt folks and expatriates looking for a taste of home. The gut-stuffing Indian buffet is a favorite of the Vandy crowd. Fill up on tender tandoori chicken and the usual earthy spectrum of curried offerings, cooling raita and plenty of basmati rice.

FOOD WAS NASTY! SERVICE WAS RUDE. Went to have dinner their after visiting Nashville where we will be moving to soon. The food was poor and old tasting. The dosa was soggy wet and had a mashed instant potatoe filling. We ate only appt. and complained of the poor food. When we went to pay he charged us for 3 Masala dosa that had one bite of each( then all said it was terrible) and we told them it was aweful! Rude service, poor customer service. Terrible and we will NEVER return. Charge 35.00 to us and we ate NOTHING!

Great for lunch. Their buffet is a great option for lunch, especially if you only have an hour to eat and you work in the downtown or west end area. There is never a wait to sit. The service is friendly. Although there are not a lot of options on the buffet, the usual foods are really good. I think I might have an addiction. :) It's not a place that I would bring a first date because the atmosphere is lacking, but it is definately a great place for a casual lunch on a workday.

Not a very good restaurant. The people who work there have very poor customer service skills. The lunch buffet was a joke as several items were finished and took a lot of time to refill. The staple (rice) ran out about two minutes after I arrived and was not available even when I left 20 minutes later.

You can tell the chicken curry along with several of the other items were just reheated.

Overall as an Indian myself I am embarrassed that this restaurant is rated this high, it is the worst I have been to in my life.

eh. Having just moved here from Cincinnati, I have been trying to find a good indian restaurant and after reading other people's reviews on this site, I chose to go here. We were ignored when we walked into the door, the food really was not very good, in fact most of the dishes seemed overly watery, and we were ignored again when we were ready to pay our check. I don't know if they were having an off day or what, but I will not be going back to Taste of India.

Great food, room to move. I and mine used to go to that other Indian resturant right down the road, no more. Taste of India has GREAT FOOD, ROOM TO STRETCH or to take a bunch of your friends, and it is KID FRIENDLY!! The buffet selection is tasty and quite varied. They have lots of stuff you won't find anywhere else in town. Try the tamarind chutney on papadum as a starter. Trust me, you'll love it!!

Best Buffet Deal...Period.. I love this place. The food is the best Indian food in Nashville and the people are the nicest people you could possibly ask to meet. The fact that 90% of their customers are Middle Eastern should say something about the quality of the food. This is hands down the best buffet deal in the Nashville area...You MUST try it.
