A new Loyal Customer Ive been shopping around looking for a 06 Vstar for about 3 months now. I live in Rockford IL and found out about Road Track and trail from an ad in cycle trader. From the first phone call to my last visit to pick up my new bike Adam was very nice and honest. He sent me over 30 pictures of the bike and even showed me a little scratch that was on the tank! When I arrived at there it blew my mind how many bikes they have and how well they responded to my needs. I am very happy I decided to buy from Adam, he really made the whole buying experience a good one. Ive had my bike now for about 9 months and I Love it. Havent had a problem yet. Thanks guys for everything. Going on a ride with my son the summer and cant wait to ride to california and feel safe that my bike will make it!

What Andy said! except I actually did buy my bike here. During my first visit Todd helped me and my friend Peter navigate the aisles of this place (which happens to be a mile from where I grew up in Big Bend, WI, geez, what are the odds?!??) which is huuuuge. Pulled out a ton of bikes from both the cruiser side and the sportbike side. Really spent a lot of time with us.

My second visit, with my dad, I had decided on getting either a Ninja or a Suzuki GS500. They were clean out of the Suzukis, but I sat on a bunch of Ninja 250s and 500s. Todd was super helpful but never pushy.

On my third visit, I went by myself and Todd was helping someone else when I walked in. He saw me and waved "Hi Sandy!" DOH! Come here often? Uh, yeah, I guess so. I made my purchase (2008 black Ninja 500) that day and he, the finance dude Steve, and everyone was so very friendly and helpful. A mechanic even rode it down to my parent's house as I was terrified of riding in traffic (since I had only taken the MSF classes and dinked around a parking lot). Sweet!

Super nice people, and they gave me a 30-day warranty in case anything went wrong, which nothing has. The bike was in great condition, and they take pride in making sure their bikes are ready to hit the streets once they leave the showrooms. Decent prices that reflect KBB values, more or less. And they are willing to negotiate, within reason.

Before I left, Todd walked me through the bike, showing me all the basics, how to check the oil, put in gas, take off the seat, basic stuff, but good for this newb to know. He even offered to help me with my skills as a group of them go out riding on Sundays and don't mind hanging with the newbs. Or at least that's what they said. ;) Haven't taken him up on this offer yet as I want to practice a bit more on my own, but awesome of him to offer the help! :)

Highly recommend. Good guys all around. :D

We couldn't have had a better experience. We first went in to shop for a motorcycle, and came back multiple times to look around. There were NO high-pressure sales tactics whatsoever (unlike all the 'other guys' we visited). They really listened. And their selection is amazing.

They remembered us immediately when we came in a month later ready to look at a particular bike we saw online (website is amazing also btw). We tried it and it was deafening - so my husband ruled it out. As I walked through the service dept one of the guys asked offhandedly if we found one we liked. I told him about this bike and he told me a brief story about how loud pipes saved him from serious injuries once, so that was something to consider.

That got us thinking, and we bought the bike. And we are so glad we did. We don't even notice the noise any more, and I can't imagine how many times the noise has prevented accidents given that some people STILL don't hear us coming. It is a perfect bike, and absolutely the best price anywhere, even compared to other bikes available out of state.

I came back when I needed service on my crappy Chinese scooter. They were the ONLY ones (out of 8 shops I called) that said they couldn't help because it was impossible to find parts. That told me they were EXPERIENCED, so I asked if they'd work on it if I got all the parts myself. They said sure.

Turns out it didn't need any parts - they offered to weld up all the broken things. And while they were at it they looked over and tuned up and shined up pretty much everything else without even being asked (I asked later - and it was all already done!!!). They even oiled up the seat!!! Now it sounds better than when I got it - and goes faster!

Honestly when they told me how much the repairs cost, I was positive I heard them wrong, and asked my husband twice if the guy said $4xx instead of $1xx. But nope - all that service didn't hurt my pocketbook one bit.

My only complaint is that it seems they fixed the speedometer (which has always been off by exactly 8mph) and didn't mention it. My husband, riding on his new bike behind me, was freaked out the whole way home at the speeds I was going. I guess I should have asked about that!

We'll definitely be back.

Took delivery of my Reflex this morning, no problems. The battery was a bit low but the delivery guy (ray) had a quick charger and everything was fine. The delivery company was a class act, Ray was a pro and knew exactly what he was doing. Good people need to get praised.

Just a personal thank you for a pleasant transaction to you and all the staff that made this work. I am very happy with the bike, and the delivery driver was very accommodating to our needs, please tell that sales manager thanks again!

WOW!! WHAT A PLACE!!! Road Track and Trail has the most bikes in one place than I have ever seen. Last May I purchased a VTX 1300 R from Mike. It had been about 8 years prior that I had owned a bike. I went in looking at Shadow 750's. I explained to Mike that I would be using the bike to make some long trips but mostly local rides. He suggested that maybe the 750 would not be a large enough bike for me on longer trips. I am a die hard Honda guy so he pointed me to the VTX's. Boy am I glad he did! This bike does everything I want it to out on the open road.

I never sensed any pressure to buy. I was worried that I would receive the old "used car dealership" treatment but that was not the case. I made about 4 visits to the shop before I bought. He took the time with me that I needed to make a choice even though he was very busy. He gave me my space and checked on me to be sure all of my questions were answered. Finally, I bought the bike! I wanted to ask him to lower the price just for the sake of it but the price was already priced much less than I could find it anywhere else. (I did my research)

3,000 plus miles now and I am 100% satisfied. I have sent many friends to Road Track and Trail to look at bikes. They have a great service department too. They winterized my bike for me and attached a battery charger to the bike.

Hats off to Road Track and Trail. I will buy my next bike From them. Without a doubt. If they keep it up, they have a life long customer.
