Always great food and great service. I moved to Olympia from Seattle when I was pregnant where I was privy to many wonderful and diverse restaurants. In Olympia I despaired of finding anyplace to satisfy my cravings and sometimes voracious appetite. Then I ate at Pellegrino's. Now I've been eating there for years. It's my place to bring visiting guests and my son came here for homecoming. It's never been a disappointment. I love the food, staff and atmosphere. You can't go wrong with Pellegrino's. Thank you!!

My hubby & I were introduced by our aunt who has shared wonderful meals and memories at Pellegrino's with her sweetheart/hubby until his recent passing.
We were so impressed that this afternoon, we're introducing our son and his italian chef wife and kids to Pellegrino's today.
I anticipate that pellegrino's will get a big thumbs up from everyone in our group.

Best Eggplant Ever.
I love that this restaurant is a renovated house because it makes it so cute and cozy. The employees have been courteous each time and there's never an issue with dirty floors or smudgy tabletops. I don't eat meat in restaurants or I'd defend their veal from the Anti-Local-Restaurant guy, but I do love their breaded and fried eggplant parmigiana. That's my favorite meal there but I like to substitute alfredo sauce for the marinara. The alfredo is made from cream and parmesan - you can actually taste the fresh ingredients. The pastas are fresh. The spinach and cheese ravioli is rich and wonderful, too.
If it weren't for such atrocious spelling in those negative reviews, I'd swear it was someone from Casa Mia or Olive Garden trying to sabotage these guys. But anyway, the food is always good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Give the little guys a try...
The Truth Hurts. Sorry, you feel that way, but I call 'em like I see 'em. Don't take it personally. I do admire you for supporting your friends though.
MY veal is always GREAT!.
First off, I don't know what to say about the other review from over four years ago, but I do know their menu has changed almost entirely since then, and I have never personally had an issue.
I don't know what "Angry Veal Man's" problem was, but his review sounds more like vendetta and obsession than fact. Who gives a darn if a cook is smoking outside? Talk about nitpicky! Did he forget to kick his dog or something??
I found his review posted on several sites, meaning he has WAY too much time on his hands! As Ace Ventura once said: "Obsess much??"
I have been going to Pellegrino's Italian Kitchen for years, and used to go to their Harborside location many years ago. I know the family personally, and it offends me that someone would go to so much effort to cost them business. They are an icon in the community and very active in charity work and donations, so hurting them only hurts the community at large.
I am a veal lover and have it at least half the time I go there. My favorite dish is the veal parm, and I have never once had an issue with it.
Further, I've never had an issue with the professionalism of the staff. No, it's not El Goucho, but it sure as heck isn't the free-for-all that this other guy says he encountered. God forbid that employees enjoy their work and have fun!
So if you want great veal (or pasta, or whatever else Italian), I highly recommend Pellegrino's Italian Kitchen, and highly refute the angry, obsessive words contained in the other review!
The worst food you can find in entire Olympia.
We had Halibut,awfully prepared, the fish's original taste has all gone, the sauce was indescribability terrible. Like CANNED FOOD. $17.00 for a can food taste.IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
And then, the one MY HUSBAND
ordered, 3 Sample Italian dish , meatball and spaghetti: it is OK if you have it on a street fair, not something you expect in a restaurant. The totellini: Jee, they should just go to the supermarket and get one of those frozen totellini, it definitely better than theirs. It was not only not aldente but way to soft that my husband didn't fancy it. The worst was SAUSAGE, I bet they use left over sausage from their catering, it was hard, no taste, of course not juicy(it's like leftover sausage's been dried up and been reheated) Terrible.
