Mitchell Bay Landing

Camping in the back yard. I have to admit we were surprised that we were camping in someones backyard and not a campground or resort. Although the owner was friendly (perhaps even too friendly) we couldn't get over the location. Kayaks and boats are available for rental, but the available launch area leaves something to be desired. No on site showers, no where to wash your camp dishes or clean up, and the backyard camping will be enough to make you ask yourself what you are doing here. We ended our trip a night early just to end the drama of not being comfortable hanging around at our campsite/the backyard of someone's house. Good luck, not recommended.…
