The worst steak house in Mississippi.. The only name I could give for the quality of the food and service is DREADFULL!! The steaks were full of grizzle, tough and so salty with a terrible sauce you couldn't eat them. The building looks like a converted bar with dingy brown carpet with walls to match. The carpet was filthy. There was no state inspection posted.

The salad was served in an ancient brown plastic bowl with salad dressing containers that were nasty because of open tops.

There was a cute small boy about 2 or 3 handing out menus as the customers were seated. The menus were written on brown paper sacks. That is a good idea but they were so old and greasy you couldn't read them. The boy kept wiping his runny nose as he passed out water glasses to the seated customers. It wasn't his fault but management. I didn't drink the water.

I am a world class traveler and this isn't my first review posted on restaurants. As a published author I enjoy eating a good steak house and believe me Cheryl's isn't even close to a good steak house. I would give it 1/4 star because the parking is good.

NOT WHAT IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE. My husband and I ate here on a few occasions. The last time we went, the cook argued with me that a steak was medium rare when in fact it was well done. The entire experience was awful. It just capped off the fact that it would never improve and we have not gone back.
