Comfortable Lincolnshire brewpub features half a dozen handcrafted ales alongside familiar American fish, beef, and vegetarian dishes.

Flatlanders SUCKS!

Do NOT waste your hard earned money at this place. I mean just look below at all of these reviews!! The place is the pits!! Service sucks, food sucks, and the manager has the IQ of a flea, Not to mention the place stinks of stale beer. I eat out with the wife every Friday night, and this place has got to be the worst resturant we have ever experienced in Chicagoland. I only gave it a 1 star, since a 0 star is not available.
Thoroughly Unimpressive

Calamari was salty and rubbery. My daughters drink glass was dirty. The jambalaya was tasteless. No need to go here again.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Flatlanders. From the minute we walked in, the service was entirely indifferent. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, there were no waiters or anyone else for that matter in sight. I was dining with a vegetarian and ordered some potato skins as an appetizer. I very clearly and specifically made mention of this to our server and asked that the skins NOT have bacon on them. So what did we end up getting? Potato skins with bacon! Totally ridiculous! When our server wasn’t too busy ignoring us, he did make mention that the cheese used on our food was “processed yellow matter.” No big surprise. The food I had was completely tasteless and uninspired. Granted the manager did come over and offer a free appetizer but at that point, I had enough. The food completely sucked and they apparently were unable to follow simple instructions. Why would I want free garbage?
This review was originally posted on the AAdvantage dining website. The manager of the establishment wrote back to me. This was his exact response word for word.
“Thanks for taking the time to send us this great feedback. All we can say is thank goodneess the public doesnt read this such embelished remarks. I am sorry, but I offered to replace the potato skins and you refused. It was a kitchen oversite for which we were very apolgetic. You should also be pleased that your server lost his job for making such a comment about the quality of cheese we use. Actualy, if you really think any restaurant out there uses fake cheese then please do take your business elsewhere. You even made the comment that your food was tasteless and uninspired.. 3 beers, a kids grilled cheese and a turkey wrap, not a very inspired palatte. I wish you success in your culinary ventures to the other area restaurnats. We are normally very appreciative of real feedback but this one is the best so far this year. Good riddens!”
- Pros: leaving without heaving
- Cons: food, service, ambience
Great Place for the Holidays!

I'd like to consider myself to be a person with first-class taste. Myself and family attended Flatlander's for their New Year Event. We made reservations for 7:30, and were seated promptly. The ambiance was festooned for the holidays and a roaring stone fireplace made for a picturesque evening. We ordered the surf and turf for the adults and hamburgers for our little one. The food was impressive (to temperature), the service was great and we even got a brief tour of the micro brewery. I will without doubt endorse this restaurant to contacts.
- Pros: Beer fresh from the Brewery
- Cons: n/a
Lame atmosphere, blah food

A group of 6 of us took the hotel shuttle over to Flatlanders because it sounded cool. Upon arriving, the restaurant was virtually empty, which was surprising for a dinner hour at a brewhouse. We should have turned around then, but we kept with the original game plan.
The prices are very high for the food quality of Applebee's. My salmon tasted like it came out of a freezer bag as did the Uncle Ben's rice that was served with it. My dining guests were not impressed with the plain chicken sandwiches or the flavorless ravioli.
Service was incredibly slow and not attentive. I ordered the beer sampler and asked the server to suggest a couple beers for me. He refused and told me to pick what I wanted, which I thought was unusual. He also messed up our bills by charging the wrong people for the wrong things.
I would not recommend spending a dime in this restaurant.
- Pros: Beer
- Cons: Service, Food, Atmosphere
