Forest Pointee Apartments, IL.
Very disappointing experience. Maintainance is extremely bad and managemant is rude. Passages are hardly cleaned and lights are poorly maintained in spite of reminders. Appliances are 20 yrs old. Nothing is close in terms of accessibility except Abbott. Once they get you on lease they keep on increasing rent.
The point is if you pay so much you should get some convinence and peace of mind which never happens as some problem is aways there.
unfair leasing policies, rent at your own risk-Duraleigh Woods in Raleigh,NC. Duraleigh Woods apartments located at 5600 Briar Oaks Lane in western Raleigh,NC is a beautiful luxury living complex. However,if you are looking for some flexibility in a leasing policy, you should beware and look some other place! If you have an emergency such that you need to move shortly before your lease is up,you will be made to feel like a criminal, harshly penalized and your name will be given to the credit bureau as if you are a delinquent tenant. After 15 years with a spotless record,I found this out.
Customer Service and maintainance are poor.
Fully agree with the above commentor.
We have had nothing but issues since we have moved in. First our washer/dryer is horrible, there are missing parts on the washer and the dryer takes about 4 hours to dry 1 load. (about 45 minutes for a ringed out wash cloth). Our toilet has been leaking quite a number of times, our garbage disposal sounds like there is something metal in the drain when the disposal is turned on. Our closet door just fell right off the hinges one day in the kitchen and the door nearly feel on me. The screws came right out of the door and I can tell that they were loose once before. It left a mark in the floor and the oven, we they will not fix this. We were told they were going to replace the kitchen and bathroom tile before we moved in, but that didnt happen until we complained several times and a month later. When they did replace the tile they left a patch unchanged in our kitchen closed and left a huge grease mark on our carpet from the refrigerator. They had to move the washer/dryer as well and didn't hook it back up. The maintainance guy said that someone else would havve to hook it back up, becuase "It isn't my job." They did not clean that up grease mark either, because again according to the maintainance guy, "That isn't our job". A few blinds in the living room were already broken and just shoved in the retaining slots. When they fell, maintainance punched a hole on the opposite side of the blind and put it back up in the retaining slot...Can we say tacky???
This all basically within the first 3 -4 weeks after move in...doesn't seem like they tested or inspected anything before we moved in. NOt very happy with this complex at all, I'm looking to move right when our contract is over.
Good maintenance. Heavy-handed, inflexible lease.. I've been at Forest Pointe going on three years, waiting for the appropriate time to purchase a house. I'm a model tenant: quiet, pays on time, no trouble. When my lease was up for renewal, I asked for improvements to my aged bathroom to make it presentable considering it is an expensive unit. They said they would but not until I signed the lease. I countered I would sign if they amended the lease to include my terms or perform the repairs beforehand. They soundly refused me any reasonable assurance, yet they amended the lease with their new terms that penalize me heavily if I'm EVER late on rent. I guess even their good tenants haven't earned their good will. Disappointing, considering I've been a tenant at approximately 20 other apartment complexes across the US and most will at least demonstrate some good will, especially for longtime residents.
