Was long time customer for many years...but just found out that they really don't care about keeping cutomers or generating business!.
Leider's does not appear to want to make the effort to keep long-time customers or generate business. I had to go back 3 times to try to redeem the Leider's "Bonus Bucks" that were given to us during our spring purchases (to be redeemed in the fall). First time they didn't have the bulbs in yet, and they extended the date of the coupons, which was great. Second trip back (with gas at $4/gallon!!) still no bulbs. Third trip in, they had the bulbs, but wouldn't honor my coupon because I was ONE DAY past the extended date that they wrote on the coupon! Keep in mind, these "Bonus Bucks" were only good for up to 50% off the purchase. So by not letting me redeem them, not only did they lose that sale from me, but they will also lose my business in the future, along with many neighbors'. There are plenty of other places to get plants, and many of them are not as expensive anyway. Certainly, many of the others would see the forest through the trees and realize what it takes to keep customers happy.
