bad service. Waited more than 20 minutes to be served a bowl of soup. I was about to reach over the counter and just scoop some for myself, when I was able to flag down a manager. The person preparing orders was completely inept.
Fresh-baked goods, fresh-brewed coffee and creative sandwiches served up in relaxed, roomy surroundings..
In Short
Bright colors and comfortable furniture give this chain cafe a laid-back feel, with scattered tables that beckon coffee-sipping readers, chatters and diners. All baked goods--bagels, muffins, two dozen kinds of bread--are made fresh on the premises. Sandwiches include turkey-artichoke panini and Asiago roast beef, plus standards like chicken salad and smoked turkey. Soups change daily, but popular choices like broccoli and cheese, chicken noodle and French onion are always on the menu.
good food. This is a great place for lunch or a casual late dinner. The mood is great in the Watertown location. I enjoy visiting the restaurant during the afternoon hours. The lowfat soups are great.
Great gourmet sandwiches. This sandwich shop is owned by Au Bon Pain, so the food is quality, although a bit pricey. Some sandwiches are not that big, and for $7 a piece, they definitely should be!! However, it is a nice place, and the food is delicious...there are also Paneras in the North Shore, in Danvers and Swampscott.
AWFUL SOUP. The soup was AWFUL!!!!!! The chicken soup had NO chicken and the clam chowder had NO clams!!!
LOVE CARBS. IF YOU LOVE FRESH BREAD, BAGELS, BREAD BOWLS, SANDWICHES STUFFED LARGE THEN THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. THE INGREDIENTS ARE ALWAYS FRESH. NEVER A LONG WAIT. ALWAYS SEATING. YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER AT THE COUNTER AND SIT YOURSELF, SO THERE IS NO RUSH. YOU CAN SIP COFFEE AND SNACK ON A BAGEL WHILE READING THE SUNDAY PAPER. THEY WILL MAKE ANY KIND OF SANDWICH AND HAVE GREAT SOUPS AND SALADS TOO. NOT JUST BREAD HERE.
PANERA BREAD. YEAH I VISITED THEIR BAKERY WHEN THEY FIRST OPENED IN NORTH ATTLEBORO LAST YEAR ANDI WAS AMAZED HOW MUCH BUSINESS THEY ATTRACT AND IT IS IN A REALLY GOOD LOCATION.. BUT YES THEIR BAGELS AND BREADS AND SANDWICHES ARE SOMETHING TO RUN AND VISIT FOR...
good place to break bread. I loved the bread at Panera. The fillings for the sandwiches were fresh. It was so much better than fast food, but the service was fast.
