A Real Burrito!
by daresie
My wife and I were going to go to Anna's, but it was overcrowded so we decided to give Lupita's a try. I got a $4.99 pulled pork burrito; the tortilla was thick and fresh (unlike that see-through thing you get at Anna's), the pork tasted like it was just cooked - not stored in a heated tin. My wife got a chicken torta - the chicken tasted like it was just grilled. You might have to wait 4-5 minutes for your food, but that's because it's cooked and not made on a Subway-esque line. I'm going next week for some $1.99 tacos! Trust me - if you're in Porter Square, walk that extra 3 minutes to Tacos Lupita, instead of going to Anna's.
- Pros: Food, Value, Plenty of seating
- Cons: A little surly - but who cares about that...
The Best

Hands down the best burrito in town. There aren't very many choices on the menu, but it doesn't matter.
- Pros: Good, Cheap, Fresh
- Cons: Not real pretty to look at
Real Deal

This is as authentic as you're going to get to real Mexican Tacos. I believe the ownership is part Mexican, part El Salvadoran, nonetheless, It's real Latin.
I have been to several parts of Mexico, plus my wife is from there. We agree this our favorite place for tacos and have gone there often.
All too often people settle for Americanized versions of Mexican cuisine or "Tex-Mex". Next time spare yourself Taco Bell and head over here for Steak, Pork or Chicken Tacos or a mix of all three.
If you're a guy...get yourself a mix of six or more tacos (Girls, four or more) with the red and green sauce on the side with limes. Tacos are small but LOADED and inexpensive (less than $2?). Trust me...you'll be pleasantly surprised.
FYI: They don't put limes in their beer in Mexico(...and no, not in Corona either).
Enjoy !!!
- Pros: Prices, Prompt, Service with a smile
