Bad food, worse service. I live in the neighborhood and had high hopes for this place. The last time I went to Fiesta Mexican, I got a chicken chimichanga that was over-seasoned, over cooked and full of watery chicken. I thought I might have caught them on a bad day, so I gave them another shot. This time I went on a Friday night. The first order I received was wrong, sent it back to be re-cooked and the food was still mediocre at best, reminding me of a microwave burrito. To top it all off, they had a 2-piece band... even the band must've been bored & tired as they started letting guests get up and sing bad, drunken karaoke-style. Since then, I've noticed rats running across their roof on more than one occasion. I'd drive across town before eating at this place again.

Best Tex Mex in the opinion Of a Texan. Friendly service- hands down best margaritas, beats the ever-loving pants off of las palmas. The best you could expect from Nashville as far as authenticity. Tasty food- better drinks.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!. Were do I start... I work downtown and this was my first visit to Fiesta Mex. The salsa was horrible and you only get a little small bit and thats it, if you ask for more it never comes. I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas and there was not even enough to make 2 fajitas. The portion of refried beans was litterally 3 forks full?? The rice was the same and I am not exagerating. It seemed like all the portions were just cut in half. My co-worker ordered a chicken burrito with chicken and cheese only. She was very specific... it showed up with peppers onions beans red sauce. She just sat and ate it. We all agreed it was over priced, not very tasty, and very skimpy portions. I know its a recession but this type of service will just drive customers away. Service was ok. We only saw him once. We didnt have much food to eat so we were in and out in 15 mins! We left hungry and disappointed. Will not visit again.

Chincy on Salsa. Two years ago when I worked downtown I loved this place. It had a great atmosphere and the salsa was some of my favorite in Nashville. I re-visited today and was sorely disappointed by downhill the restaurant has gone. First, it is a terribly cold day here in the Music City and the restaurant was freezing. Our server brought our chips and salsa and instead of the usual unlimited salsa our initial cups, one for each of us, brought to the table were filled below half full. We each asked for additional salsa and it took quite awhile to get the refill. I ordered a taco salad and the salad and shell were smaller than you usually see, including the chain mexican restaurants. The flavor was average at best.

I was very disheartened as this used to be a favorite staple downtown. I would avoid it unless you absolutely were starving and had no other alternative. I noticed the restaurant wasn't near as full as it used to be and no one ever seemed to have to wait. I presume it is under new management or ownership and overall they need a major overhaul.

Forget this place unless you're REALLY starving and someone else buys. Spinach enchiladas had canned spinach, and didn't taste very Mexican, more like school cafetaria. Rice seemed like red-colored minute rice. Beans were OK. Salsa was very mild, in a tiny bowl that you had to keep asking to be refilled. Bad service. This was on a Saturday night, so it's not like it was an off day for them. Harldy anyone else there, I guess their reputation precedes them. Someone gave a great review for this place, so that's the only reason I went. Today I notice that almost every Mexican restaurant has 5 stars. I guess Tennesseans don't know good (or bad) Mexican food when they taste it. Take it from a Californian, if you want good Mexican food, try San Jose on Nolensville road or, if you want more gringo-ized but still pretty good, try Cancun in Bellevue.

Best Mexican Food in the City!. This place has by far the best mexican food in the city. Everything from the salsa to the rice and beans, to all the meats are cooked just right. Kept tender, and always flavorful. Always prepared fresh, that if your looking for consistency in presentation, you are not going to get it here. But if you are looking for consistency in taste...this is the place. Awesome staff, a little layed back for service expected in the city, but always willing to take care of you. Also if you go there try the Sangria Margaritas...delicious! I'd recomend this place to anyone looking for good Mexican food, and great margaritas!

Excellent Mexican Food!!. I travel all the time & eat Mexican everywhere I go, but this place is #3 on my list (behind a place in Austin, TX & one in Poland).

My wife & I have been eating here for years... ever since they opened. At one point we were eating here once a week. My wife craved their food when she was pregnant.

We were blown away when we first tried it. Wow... Mexican food with real flavor! The salsa is spicy... everything is great. Even the refried beans are unusually good!

I highly recommend the Fajita Burrito with chicken. (#42 on the menu I think?) But the fajitas & chimichanga are very good as well.

They have a great deck for dining out & seeing the Nashville skyline.

Someone else complained about service. About 95% of the time service is excellent. Only when they've been super busy have we ever had any issues, but that's no different from any other place.

Give it a try!
