AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! – My sister is in town from New Orleans and we wanted to go out in Nashville last night and check out prices for tattoos (I have none, but she has two). First, my sister asked how much it would cost for a small peace sign on her shoulder. A butch looking woman with blonde hair informed her it would be around $100. While she was explaining why it would cost that much, she was extremely rude, saying that a circle is hard to draw on a person. OK - understandable, but she was very rude and condescending.
Then, I asked how much a Pisces symbol would be (two fish swimming in opposite directions) to the little scene wanna-be chick behind the counter (I believe her name is Ally-different girl from before). She said about $70. My sister then asked again, this time to Ally, how much a peace symbol would be and she said $80. She then asked again about the circle costing so much and why two different people told her different prices for the same tat.
Right away Ally said, "You can just leave. We're tired of it." My sister said, "Are you serious?" thinking she was joking, but Ally just insisted on us to leave the store.
Since I was not really in the whole action and just observing and I can tell you my sister was asking these questions in a very friendly tone. We're from New Orleans, so we are used to people being friendly and helpful. If these people at Ink Gallery can't answer questions or explain to an uninformed customer about a tattoo they will just ask you to leave.
I understand them being frustrated with someone asking questions, but true professionals should not show their impatience to anyone willing to spend money in their shop. My sister was very upset, and none of us were expecting the people at Ink Gallery to act this way towards us. I am very disappointed in the service.
Don't Trust These "Professionals" – In the Ink Gallery radio ads they use the line "Trust the professionals". These people are far from professional and their customer service stinks. I am a moderately tattooed individual, at one time was a heavily pierced individual, and I have a few surgical modifications. I have been around in the national modification community for over a decaded and have been around some of the great names in the field. Basicly, I am not an uneducate newbie when it comes to piercings and tattoo.
I went into the shop because a friend said I should go. That was my first mistake. I wanted a simple lip piercing and the counter guy(not the piercer/tattoo artist, David) showed me the jewelry they like to use. I asked the kid what size were the beads on the labret posts. Exact words I used were," What is the size of the bead in millimeter?". He told me the gauge of the post. I told him I wanted to know the size of the bead on the post. He then gives me the air quotes with his fingers saying that NOONE in the modification community would know what I was talking about and don't know what milimeters are. He then proceeds to try and tell me about the community and how jewelry is measured in gauges not mm. I tell him that he didn't know jewelry and if he didn't know the sizes of the beads to just say it.
He was very unprofessional. I would never speak down to a customer because I wasn't sure about a product I was selling. They have an uneducated scene kid working the counter who doesn't know about the items he is selling. He probably doesn't even know that you can buy the post and beads seperately. He probably doesn't know that when you order jewelry that you have a choice of length, gauge, and size of beads. Or are they buying trash jewelry from a supplier that doesn't give them that option in order to afford the $20 piercings specials in a pretty expensive rent area?
The place to go for the BEST WORK!!!! – Super work,I have sent lots of people there and everyone loves this place!! I plan on getting more work there!!
Worse service ever! – My husband and I get tattoos every year for our anniversary and this would have been our 3rd year. We went in a week before we wanted to get our tats because I wanted a unique design that they had told me last year they would help me with. We got there as soon as they opened and was treated rudely when we said that we wanted to come in at a certain time to have a half sleeve done. The tattoo artist "went out for a pack of smokes" for over 45 minutes knowing there were returning customers in the shop. They did not seem the least interested in making money, I found it to be rude and very disrespectful. I would tell everyone to not waste their time with those people.
Awesome experience! – I recieved a hood and eyebrow piercing at this place. I was referred by a friend to David and was so glad I listened! I was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and that He wore a face mask while performing the piercings. The staff was very helpful as well extremely friendly. I was happy with the price of the piercings as well.
I am definately referring my friends to him and I personally won't go anywhere else to have work done!!!!!
A Great Experience! – I recently went to Ink Gallery with a bunch of friends, this was my first tattoo and was extremely nervous. The price at Ink Gallery was excellent, as well as the cleanliness and the facility. The artist's name was David and he did an excellent job, however, the wait was a little long and the customer service process could have been a little bit nicer. Overall, they were excellent.
Super place to get ink! – I am new to nashville,I walked in Ink Gallery on Elliston Place,I was told they had moved from church st.I have a lot of ink,I ended up getting another tat,I had told myself no more tats, anyway after looking at their work I had them draw me up some trible, super work, really upscale shop!
Tattoo x 4 – I and three friends went to Ink Gallery II and had matching tattoo's done. Everyone there was helpful in helping us pick just the right art, getting us in and out quickly, and doing great work. 3 different artists worked on us and you can't tell the difference from one to the other. We were very pleased. :)
nose ring adventure – i got my nose pierced there over a month ago. they charge $20 (free jewelry w/ piercing) for any piercing above the waist. every other place i looked at charged more and it depended on if i was getting a stud or a ring as to how much so 20 bucks was looking really good. i wouldn't say they were the most friendliest but they pretty much got done to it and i was in and out in a matter of minutes.
Trust me!!! – I had my nipples done here. This was my fourth piercing so I was used to the usual b.s.! I won't lie, this piercing HURTS but it is SOOOOO worth it! Anyways, the dude at Ink Gallery made it so easy. He explained everything that he was going to do and everything that I could expect afterward. Honestly, I'd take em out and let heal just so I could do it again....that first month is exquisite!!!
