I can't believe the one bad review!. Wow, I really have a problem believing that Willow or anyone that works there would ever discriminate! The review from pickyunee is just odd. Yes, they are very careful with people who have had recent surgery, and I have heard them say that a doctor's clearance is necessary, but NEVER have I seen anything discriminatory there! Every class that I take there has all ages, sizes, and I guess, incomes. One lady is 70! I guess the income part, because no one there cares about that kind of thing! I am a student with very little money. My friend who comes with me is a mom who is 20 lbs. overweight. We are both always treated like family! The instructors, and the manager have always been so nice and helpful, and they all really know what they are talking about! Geez, they won best pilates studio for a reason!!

Discouraging encounter. I am 55 yrs old and about 15 pounds overweight, had bilateral knee replacements and have been released by my doctor (I'm a RN by profession). My physical therapist and I were talking about core strengthening and pilates and I told her I would check out Willow and maybe we could share some private lessons together. I had just left therapy and was in my workout clothes. When I arrived the "manager" was having a personal conversation with someone and while I was looking around waiting she asked if she could help. I explained I was interested in private lessons, possibly shared and explained I had knee surgery. She seemed to have difficulty understanding what I was asking and I was given their menu with prices. She said I should talk to my doctor first and I explained I was a nurse and had been released from his care. I decided I would like to go ahead and buy a intro package for myself and get my first lesson scheduled. About this time a young fit woman with a very large ring on her finger walked in and the "manager" immediately looked at me and told me to talk to my doctor and call her later to schedule an appointment afterwards. She immediately asked the young woman if she could help her. I consider myself an attractive middle aged woman with moderate material wealth but I believe I was just discriminated against. Even if you have the money to pay they don't want you if you're over a certain age or weight. I live in this area and am used to snobs but this one takes the cake.

LOVE Willow and the excellent trainers. I am confused by the negative review by nashstone! Willow is wonderful and their instructors have only been kind and helpful to me and my friends. Willow has been amazing for me and my body. It is a true community there. I have made so many friends and been helped in so many ways. I knew no one in Nashville, and after one week there, I was going to movie night with the girls, getting help finding a reliable babysitter and even getting a ride from the manager when my car broke down! Now, that is service! Not to mention the pilates, power plate, and now the awesome xtend barre classes!!! Willow is just THE BEST!!!

will not go back because of instructor. I would not recommend this place for a first time student. I attended a beginner’s class and let totally embarrassed. The teacher made fun of me and my abilities. She called me out in class. (This was my first Pilates class) She was under the impress that since I was young and thin that I should have more ab strength? After class when we were down stairs she again called me out and said “There is just something WRONG with you” as she pointed her finger at my mid section, with other students around. When we were walking out another girl in class said that her husband had bought her a package of classed but she was going to tell him to get a refund that she would not go back there either. How embarrassing and wrong to do to a first time student. I was so nervous to try another class but finally found a supportive place at the Maryland Farms YMCA (the have an amazing Pilates studio)

LOVE Willow!!. I have been going to Willow for private sessions for about 5 months now. I love the studio and the instucters. I highly recommend Dede. They are very knowledgable and have several pieces of equipment to mix up your routine!! Really helped me bounce back from child birth!

Best Place For Pilates and Power Plate. Willow is the best place for pilates in Nashville. They have been around the longest and have the best instructors. All the others are just copying Willow.
