Amazing! :)

I just had my wedding at Chapel at the Park a week ago. It was perfect. :) I still have 1 year of college left and my husband is a few years older than me and we didn't want an expensive over the top wedding. We wanted something intimate and small. We had a ceremony only wedding with up to 40 guests. There was a wedding right before mine and when I arrived their guests and them were still there. However, I was taken up a seperate path and never saw anyone else. I was not rushed. I was mailed the timeline of the wedding a few weeks in advance so I knew what to expect. The minister came in to speak with me and told me exactly how the wedding would proceed. Then the photographer came in and took my pictures..she even took the time to take some of me with my stepmom and mother. The hostess came and got me after my husband left and she made sure he could not see me at all before I came out..and the minister gave a BEAUTIFUL ceremony. It was amazing. We had our wedding outdoors and it was beyond gorgeous. I could not have pictured anything prettier. We only had around 33 guests so they only sat out 35 chairs so that our pictures would look full. My pictures were wonderful. And the minister made sure we said our vows with the microphone so that the person video taping would be able to hear them. I could not have been more pleased. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to have a pretty outdoor wedding. The packages are affordable and we definately couldn't have gotten what we had for a better price anywhere else. I couldn't believe any of those negative comments I read, I do believe that the chapel prepares you in everyway to understand the timeline and the importance of being on time. My coordinator, Bobbi, was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about the chapel. I would not change a thing about my wedding day. It was the best. All I had to do was select a color and flowers and everything else was taken care of it...and it was all beautiful.
- Pros: everything is taken care of
It was a great WEEKEND

My wedding was three weeks ago and we are still talking about how nice everything was. So i thought I would share it with you here. Ron and I picked the Cinderella three day wedding event. (I was going from daddy's princess to Ron's Princess). My guests and I arrived Friday evening for a get together social. It was a deli night theme with red checker-table cloths and the works. They even had a make your own sundae bar so we could all create our own dessert creations.
After the deli we met with the Minster (Rev Lee) and he was so nice.He explained to everyone how the cermony would work and that there would be staff everywhere (and there was) to help us at the chapel.
Saturday morning the chapel delivered coffee and rolls and fruit to our rooms for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. My brides maids and I went to the spa treatment they set up for us. I had my hair, make up and nails and they all had their hair done. While we were there the guys went to pick up their tuxes. The limo picked up me and my girls and mom and off to the chapel we went for the final get ready and meet with the photographer. And we were all singing get me to the church on time. Then Ron and his guys arrived by limo. The guests all met at the reception site and were brought to the chapel by a Gatlinburg Trolly. I think the guests liked the ride as much as they did the wedding.
The wedding was outdoors and flawless. At the reception we had a DJ and danced for what seemed like hours. The food was good and the service was far better than we had anticipated.
The next morning they even had a continental breakafast set up for the guests before they left town so they could have a farewell time together. Ron and I did not go to that. That night we dinner on the town and tandum massages and then the next day we had Dollywood tickets on our door.
Between the wedding pictures, the reception pictures and the mounatin shoot (with lunch it was romantic) we went on we had over 400 portraits to choose from on line.
I wish I could talk to everyone who is thinking about Gatlinburg I would tell you Chapel at the Park was AWESOME. Happy in Ohio, its Tasha and Ron
- Pros: I did not have to do a thing but enjoy
- Cons: I was exhausted - but happy

In reviewing a review by JLaCourse, May 13, 2009. Basically, we found JLaCourse admitting that she was late to her own daughter’s wedding. She stated that she did a test drive of the traffic on a Friday and then assumed it would be the same on a Saturday. For any of us who have visited a Resort Town on a Saturday in the summer are pretty aware of how bad traffic can be in these places. I went to Chapel at the Park’s Website to check them out. It’s hard to believe that a Chapel with such a professional website, ranked as a 5 Star Chapel and as the Number One Chapel in Gatlinburg in 2008, had their staff ‘yelling and being hateful’ to guests. I think JLaCourse put the Chapel in a very precarious situation. Perhaps she were already worked- up and frustrated (and most likely embarrassed) after arriving late.. It seems she is blaming the Chapel for her actions. She knew she had a 1 hour reservation; she know there might be a wedding before hers and she knew that there might be a wedding after hers, but yet, she showed up late. I can only assume that the Minister, the photographer, the videographer, perhaps a hostess or attendant were all on time.. JLaCourse is holding the Chapel responsible for what could have been a completely avoidable situation, had she simply arrived on time. She based her entire review of this Chapel on her being late and the perceived way she was treated. From their website, it seems the Chapel offers 1 hour and 2 hour wedding reservations. Perhaps JLaCourse should have considered a 2 hour reservation where being a little late might not have been so stressful for her and (I can only imagine) for the Chapel staff. I think she owes her daughter and her new husband an apology, not to mention owing one to the Chapel. We found her review, quite frankly, “hateful and rude” and not worthy of any significant attention. Leave us your comments at WeddingReviewWatchDog@Yahoo
