This is the way you should "roll". I love this place. I eat there all the time.

The best thing there is the Cherry blossom roll, so-ho-ho TASTY. The servers are nice as well as the sushi chefs. There are not enough words for how much I love to go here.

Even if you don't like sushi, their non-sushi items are really good too. They have excellent fried rice (in my opinion, they are better than most chinese restaurants). If you want to go there with family, it is a good place to go.

shushi lover's paradise. I have loved Sushi for along time, but have never experienced the quality and flavor like Sapporo in Louisville, KY. It is in the highlands and is easy to get to on Bardstown Rd. The quality of the fish is outstanding. Every piece is thick and fresh. You never feel like you are eating the leftover scraps. I recommend the Cucumber salad, Unagi, and the spicy crawfish sushi on the big menu is amazing. Also the Chili thai roll...please don't ever take that off the menu!

Horrible customer service!!! but great food.. Decided to go to Sapporo due to it's reputation for great sushi for my sister's bachelorette party. Made reservations ahead of time. Upon arrival, experienced a luke warm greeting at the reception area, however the place did look cool and the music was fun. Our waitress didn't introduce herself but did get us drinks right away. We proceeded to watch the neighboring group of people eat, drink and leave within a hour. Our waitress would walk by and give a smirky smile and would say nothing. 1 hr. and 30 min. after we arrived, 2 in our group that just ordered sushi were eating, the others ordered grill food and were waiting. I went to the front to let the manager know that we had been there over and hour and still had not eaten. She then came to our table and said that a group of 15 required 2 hibachi chefs and that we would be served shortly. At the 2 hr. mark, we still had not eaten. After notifying the manager about the delay, staff would walk by and scowl or give us blank stares making us feel very uncomfortable. We were all really irritated, hungry and eager to get on with the night. We finally ate 2 hrs. and 10 min. after arriving. The food was really good especially the sushi. Would recommend carry-out if offered since the service sucked. Don't get a Mojito, they are terrible! We all felt dejected upon leaving due to the poor and unfriendly service. We had 7 in our group, so maybe smaller groups are better. The place was busy but not crazy. Won't ever return which is a shame because I really like sushi. Oh and if you voice any concerns or complaints to the manager or staff, be prepared for retaliatory behavior from the staff. Sapporo, you need and attitude adjustment and multiple inservices on good customer service. A friendly smile and introducing yourself goes a long way.

Fun Sushi and Hibachi Grill restaurant. Modern atmosphere with lots of steel and neon lights. Thumping techno music. Not your traditional Asian themed Sushi joint. There is hibachi grill table seating, seating around a long sushi bar where you can watch your rolls being made, and a small bar where you can get drinks and dine. The sushi here is great and the servers are attentive and engaging. The sushi chefs are always happy to make suggestions and there is a special menu of what the freshest seafood that day is. The roll list is lots of fun, with names like Big Mouth, Playboy Roll, Whitecastle Roll, and of course because you are in Louisville, the Derby Roll.

Good looking American style Japanese. I am a Japanese living in Houston and came to Louisville for buisness and come acrros to find here. Interior is American looks Japanese and Sushi Shef might not be Japanese though SUSHI is good enough for prices, and other entre is good for drink SAKE and BEER. And weitress working there are all cute. it is worth to try once, and if you like it you may come again. They are in used to be traditional and now fashionable area in Louisville and atmosphere around there is plus.
