Over the course of 3 years we had 3 different tenants. Chicora Long Term rentals violated our terms and rented to smokers and pet owners, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage. Carpet and vanity tops had to be replaced. The entire house had to be repainted due to smoke damage. The office did not follow up with these or any other damages and did not perform the quarterly inspections required. We were not notified before certain repairs were performed. Siding and fence repair had to be performed because tenants caused damage during routine lawn work. Phone calls repeatedly went un-returned and over the course of 3 years we were bounced around from one agent to another. Not one of the tenants completed the lease agreement. Chicora did a poor job of qualifying tenants. They made promises to tenants without our agreement. They charged us for damages and problems caused to the property by the tenants. There were numerous occasions where they flat out lied to us about the state of our property, or work that was left undone. We are currently in a battle with them because the last tenant moved out early. They seem to think that the legal document indicating that the tenant will be responsible for the course of the lease agreement is of no consequence. I strongly urge you not to conduct business with Chicora Long Term Rentals. The "quality" of "service" would be laughable were it not so extremely poor. The problems literaly started the first month and continue on and on. The level of incompetance is astounding. I wouldn't trust these people to get my mail if I were out of town for merely a day. Awful. Awful. Awful. I would give a negative star were it possible.
