Wish I found West Street Deli sooner

I lived in Ames for five years and West Street Deli has the best sandwiches and soup around. My girlfriend and I would frequent the deli and wish we could find someplace even close to the price and quality of food in the Twin Cities. (If anyone has any reccomendations, let me know.)

You have to be careful of the hours. I believe they have limited hours or are closed on Sundays. We strategially plan our meals when we go back to Ames around their hours, which shows how great we find their sandwhiches to be.

As far as the lines and service, I have never had an issue. The line may be out the door during peak periods, but as with anyplace, it shows how wonderful the food is. The line also moves pretty quick as most of the locals know what they are ordering ahead of time.

Now that I wrote this review, I am going to have to plan a trip down to Ames.
