What a waste of money and an afternoon out. My boyfriend and I recently visited Longhorns in Dalton and it was the worst experience ever. When we walked in there was nobody at the front to take us to a table so we asked the bartender if we should seat ourselves? She rolled her eyes at us and said to wait while she went to go find them. I swear she must have been no more than 12 years old with that annoyingly high-pitched squeaky voice. It wasn't even busy but after five minutes someone came and finally took us to our table. After we ordered our meals, some fat, sloppy looking bearded cook from the back stormed past us and was cussing under his breath and kicked the men's room door wide open. When our waiter came back with our drinks we told him and he laughed and said that he does it all the time and the managers want to get rid of him. I'm not sure where the professionalism is and representing where they work, but it must have left before we entered the building. But it didn't stop there. I ordered the sanoma salad and my boyfriend had a filet. It was overcooked and chewy and in my experience, those meats are supposed to be very tender. We asked to speak to the manager but he never came out to see us until right before we walked out the door. I will never go to that restaurant again and have told all of my friends and family about our experience. My best friend went there once and said the bathroom was messy and had a septic smell and the doors were missing locks. Never again.…
National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting..

One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing
cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.…
Great for sit down; horrible for to-go orders.. Longhorn Steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurant chains. The food is great and the employees are friendly. One word of warning: don't even try to get a to-go order at this location. When you call in you will be put on hold for a minimum of 5-10 minutes, then when you do finally speak to someone they will be unfamiliar with the menu and will tell to your order will be ready in 20-25 minutes, but don't expect it to be ready until 40-50 minutes from the time you order.…
