A crab house with NO CRAB!?

I went with my boyfriend and mom for dinner. They had blue crab on the menu, 12 for $24.95. That’s why I went to this crab house for the crab. When I ordered the waitress told me that blue crab is not in season until September 2nd. As a long time blue crab lover I know for a fact that July and August is robust with blue crab. When we left we stopped at a convenience store and they directed us down the street to a place called “The Freezer” (located up the street from the Riverside Crab House on Boulevard Drive just over the bridge). They had huge blue crabs and shrimp, still alive. They were just bringing a load in. So to all you at the Riverside – You lied!!! You just didn’t have any crabs; don’t say they’re not in season. BAD MOVE!! By the way –at The FREEZER they are 6 for $7.99 and AWESOME!

Terrible! I ordered a 10 oz. rib eye steak for $18.95. It was 1/8” thick on one end and ½” on the other end. It had the normal fat around the edges but on the thicker end I couldn’t even but through it. When I flipped it over it there was a large piece of grizzle (4” x 3”). When I showed the waitress, she went to the manager - he didn’t even have enough courtesy to come to the table – he sent the waitress back to offer me a free dessert, which I declined. I ordered a 10 oz. steak, not dessert! Avoid this place. You can see monkey island from the bank, no need to WASTE you money.

Dissappointed!

One of the Best waterfront views in Citrus County.
The service and quality of food is aweful! We were a table of 6 and 3 in our group were diabetics. They specifically requested UN sweet iced tea. The waitress brought them all sweet tea. When she returned we informed her of the mistake and she laughed and said they must be out of UN Sweet and walked away.
The Food is pre-packaged frozen with nothing being freshly made. All u can eat Shrimp with linguini special has a disclaimer that you cannot have seconds until ALL of the first plate is gone. The plate came out with 8 medium shrimp and about 2 pounds of linguini.
