NEVER AGAIN. This place used to be good for ordering delivery, but I just had the worst delivery experience of my life with this place, and I am NEVER ordering from here again. This is what I ordered: Grilled Dragon Salmon that costs $16. Kids Grilled Cheese Sandwich that comes with fries - $6. A dessert called a mango mousse - $6. OK, here we go...Like I usually do, I asked the girl to please substitute the regular fries for sweet potato fries, which is a service they provide, for an extra $1 charge. I asked for whole wheat bread for the sandwich, and was told no problem. This is what actually arrived...the delivery guy came, and the amount was $5 more than it should of been. I called and asked politely what happened, and was told that they did not know a kids grilled cheese was ordered, and gave me a "regular size" grilled cheese, with a separate order of sweet potato fries. I said why should I pay if its your mistake, and was told there was nothing they could do, but hey, "you have more fries now so thats good, right?". I hung up in disgust. I paid the delivery guy with a nice tip for him waiting for me, and sat down to eat. This is what I opened up: 1) Grilled Cheese Sandwich -- was on WHITE BREAD, not whole wheat like I asked. Had to throw it away as white bread is gross to me 2) Grilled Dragon Salmon -- four small pieces (each about the size of a fig newton), on a bed of lettuce and red onions. The salmon tasted too fishy (I'm a salmon lover, and this was not a good taste). 3) The mango mousse was a small slice and was very unappetizing, it was like a piece of half frozen mango juice. Thats it, that was my last experience with this establishment.

A Gem by the Sea !. What a pleasant surprise. This place reminds me of a true Hawaian Sea Shack. It looks like Wyland, spent a month painting ever inch of everywall, including the bathrooms, with his great murals of Whales and Sea Life.

This place is a Chowder House Plus. I had the Raw Oysters and Clams. They had a special 50 cents a piece. I then followed it up with their $10.00 Lobster Special. It was a great experiance, I will be back, next time I am in the area.Maybe Wyland will be there.

Best Seafood on Long Island. I have lived by the Beach my entire life, and I always , always, go to seafood restaurants.

On friday after New Years, I took a Day trip to Long Beach, New York. There were four of us, and we found our way to the West End of Long Beach, after a stop at the Long Beach Pier One Super Sale. When asked, the Pier One employees highly recommended going to the Whale's Tale, in the West End.[ I assumed it must family ]

Of we go to find the Whale's Tale. The outside was small, but it looked very seaside-ish (is that a word)When we went in,WOW, what a great looking place....All the walls had great murals...and mounted Game fish. The Place Looked Spectacular. Now if the food was any good, this would be a home run....

We ordered Clam chowder,Chillian Sea bass,Lobster Raviolis, and a Large Seafood Paella, with large Chunks of Lobster. The food was fantastic..The desserts were better than the main course. I was told all the desserts were made in house. They were great. We all ordered something different and we all shared.

This place was a Grand Slam in both food and Decor.....

On the downside, we were there about 5:30, the place was busy and the barmaid seemed very friendly very efficient, However our waitress. who only had three tables, couldn't care less about us. She was busy sitting in a booth in the rear with three other diners.

She was not friendly, seemed a little dirty. Next time we will be sitting at the Bar....

The prices were cheap, the people, except for our waitress were very friendly..

Disappointing to say the least.... Soooo, I took my mother here for an early birthday dinner after spending a few hours at the beach hoping to treat her to some great seafood. Upon entering, no one even acknowledged us for about 5 minutes. Now the place wasn't at all crowded & I think I counted about 4 waitresses on the clock. This was a lot considering the place is not very big & there were only about 3 other people there eating. Some guy sitting at the bar finally suggested we seat ourselves & so we did. Five to ten more minutes passed before we got menus. I went to the bathroom in the meantime & probably should have left right after based on that experience. Anyway, I ordered the fried conch & my mother had the baked clams as appetizers. Both were over-seasoned & lacking any real taste. Next I had the fish tacos which I was somewhat enjoying up until I found what I think was a small piece of brillo in the tortilla...GROSS!!! My mother ordered the Mahi Mahi which she seemed to like, but that was possibly an act put on to spare my feelings since I'd brought her there. The overall experience simply does not warrant giving it a 2nd chance. Bummer...
