In Short – Founded in 1983, this high-tech haven is recognizable by its blue, box-like building stamped with a yellow price tag-shaped logo. Explore the wide, gadget-lined aisles and find brand-name goods including personal computers, video games, TVs, digital cameras, cell phones and fax machines. Choose from a slew of popular brands such as Canon, Microsoft, Samsung and Sony. In-house installation services are available for most car audio and video systems, home entertainment systems, satellite hook-up, and home appliances.

Shop at another Best Buy or better yet WALMART next door

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to purchase a Flip HD digital camcorder. Had done my homework and all I needed was for an sales person to get me a unit and ring me up.
I waited around for 15 minutes for help before I went up to three (no joke, THREE) different employees. The first (Brendon) was flirting with another male customer and the 2 others I asked for help stated they didnt work in that department, even though the blond guy with shoulder length hair was IN that department leaning on a display.
20 minutes or so after walking in and just waiting for help, I left the store without the camera.
The door guy asks me "did you find everything you need today?" So I tell him what happened and he just says "have a nice day". Not "let me get someone to help you" or "let me get the manager".
I dont get it, the store want even that busy and Ive never had any problems at any other of their stores. I wasnt rude or pushy. I think waiting 15 minutes and asking 3 people for help was more than "enough". These people are usually up your ass the minute you walk into the store and today they could care less I was there.
Im sure a million people walk in to that store yearly and have no problems, but I DID!!!
And because of that, I think Ill just take my business elsewhere.
I went to Walmart (next door... BETTER PRICES PEOPLE!!!) but they didnt have the unit I wanted so I ordered it from Amazon instead. Should be here in a few days and no LAZY EMPLOYEES!
Its very hard to drive a customer who has WHAT he wants to buy in one hand and PAYMENT in the other hand, out the door. Congratulations, Best Buy.. you lost a customer.
And in THIS economy, every customer counts!
- Pros: Its got a parking lot?????
- Cons: Could get anyone to help me.
