Artisans Salon & Day Spa

Great place to get your hair cut!!. I called Artisans on a Monday afternoon and was able to get an appointment the following Wednesday. I had never been to the salon before, however, it was very easy to find on Foam St. My stylist, Cathy Hague was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. The hair style that I had in mind was very stylized and I did not have any pictures with me. When I tried to explain to her how the hair style should look, I could tell that she wasn't very clear on what I wanted (only because I'm horrible at explaining stuff in detail). So I looked up some pictures on my phone, which were very small and unclear. My comment to Cathy was, "This is the general idea of the hair cut, but it is individualized. So make it look good on my head." She looked at the phone pictures and told me that she knew what to do! Cathy was very patient and took her time with my hair making sure that she had my input every step of the way. After the cut was finished, it was exactly how I had pictured it in my head and she also took time to show me a couple of ways to style it. When I asked for the price of the hair cut, I was floored! At my old salon, I was paying around $90 for a hair cut, but this was much less than that and I am way happier with the style that Cathy cut than with my old stylist! Artisans Hair. I finally grew all the dye out of my hair and had been living with limp virgen hair for over a year. I decided to get a perm and took my limp locks to Artisans. I got a spiral perm with alternating white and pink/purple (?) rods. It looks natural. I've been asked if I have naturally wavy/curly hair. And it feels great. Highly recommended!…

Japanese Straightening. I just had the Japanese Straightening done to my hair for the second time. Renee does a great job. It's hard to find places that do the Japanese Straightening and Artisans was recommended to me. The straightening lasted me over a year and it makes it makes my hair look and feel great. I will definitely go back next year to get it done again. It's definitely worth all the time it takes.…

Great waxing. I was nervous about getting a back/chest wax (never did it before) the waxer Doran was great. She was comfortable and confident and explained everything to me. I bought the homecare kit and never had any of the side effects from the wax that she said I might get. Irritated skin or ingrowns. Sent my wife back a week later to get a facial and she loved. SHe just said that the place is more of a Salon than a "spa" so not real relaxing but great results. She now goes back every week!…
