terrible walleye and very rude manager

My friend Lark ordered bake Walleye at this restaurant on February 3.2012. It smelled very fishy (It should not have a strong odor) Did not taste good and was tested by another in our party of 7 who also said it tasted and smelled bad. Returned to waitress and changed order to a steak. Was informed by manager she would have to pay for both. Ordered a hamburger patty instead. Took 20 minutes to prepare a simple patty and was charged for both patty and fish. When asked to speak with manager, CHUCK HELPS, he very rude and responded in a threatening tone and told her informed HER she WOULD pay or else. Never before have had such bad service in the five+ years we have been going there prior to going to the Surf for 50's concerts. I've been coming out to Clearlake from California since '99 and have had nothing but good things to say about Clearlake. This, CHUCK HELPS, is a definite Jerk and gives you town a bad name.

Please check to see where you are posting this review. Obviously. you were not in CLEAR LAKE IOWA . There are several restaurants with the same or similar name. There is NO Kings point resort in CLEAR LAKE IOWA
And as a reputable restuarant ,we do NOT appreciate untrue allegations posted on our page Thank you

dirty, crappy food

We drove around clear lake to find a place to eat as we were staying at Kings Point resort. On the outside the place looked great, but..............
I have eaten at many a resturant and this place has been the worst. First, my beer was served in a FILTHY glass, it was so dirty my beer (bud light) was cloudy and it looked like there was still soap in the bottom glass. On top of that my friend had a dead (well it was kinda alive) fly in her salad. To top it all off there was some jive a*s teen cooking and you could tell he didn't give a cr8p about what he was serving. I wouldn't care if it was Perkins or Denny's, you know you expect it at times, but the food here is not cheap, 20-30$ a plate. They serve only black angus beef here but it doesn't matter if it's the best cut of beef in the world if your food is cold. I have never written a review on here or any where else, hell I don't think I have even sent back a steak, but this place has motivated me to stop others from going there.
