Stay Away from Vogue Vision!!.
My wife and I recently purchased contacts and glasses under her Spectera insurance plan, respectively, from Vogue Vision in Ames. Two weeks after I received my $400 glasses, both lenses began to fracture. I brought the glasses back to Vogue Vision, where they said I could get a replacement pair for an additional $30. I was hesitant to get the same pair again, since both lenses had cracked, but I was assured that it was a coincidence and agreed to the $30.
On the very same day that I picked up my replacement pair, the right lens fell out of the frame. I then noticed that the straight frame did not match the curved groove cut into the lens, which was why the first pair had cracked and the second pair was falling apart.
Irked, I was once again returned to the store where I was asked to give another $30 for another pair of the same glasses. I said I would not pay another $30 for their faulty product nor would I accept the same pair again, and after speaking with the manager I was allowed to choose another pair.
A month later we received a bill for the $30 and an additional $225 dollars, that after contacting the insurance company, was found to be a result of the Vogue Vision employees not submitting the insurance claim to Spectera properly.
In general, I was dissappointed with virtually every aspect of my experience with Vogue Vision, from their small selection of frames, to their inadequate customer service. My advice is to avoid the headaches and go somewhere else.
