I've had better!. The service was awful, we walked it and there is a sign please wait to be seated. We were told to sit where ever we wanted and was handed silverware. Tables were sticky and the place looked dingy (although they had a good sanitation grade). Took forever to get waited on. The food was not good at all, rice and chicken was dry. Will not go back!
dirty tables. The decor is terrible and run down. tables and chairs were in bad shape and dirty. the service was slow. the food was not the worst food Ive ever had. I won't be going back for sure.
One of Lexington's Best places to dine..
For all of Lexington's restaurants, Shoto is one of the most laid back and personable places to hang out and have a drink or just to dine in. The waitstaff is very nice and the bartender and the family are wonderful people who are attentive to your suggestions and criticisms, should you have any.
The food is always wonderfully cooked and presented in a delightful way. I personally love the honey chicken, no veggies! If you go, you should also check out the appetizers, they are delicious!
I love the atmosphere. I usually frequented the bar, but the rest of the restaurant is nothing to scoff at! The place is nicely lit and very quiet--the perfect place for a family dinner out on the town.
I can't really think of any reason not to go to Shoto, unless they're closed!
Bland. Food is rather bland. You can not tell a difference between the sauces used to cook the food. The rice is dry and sometimes hard. The meat is usually over cooked. The decor is awful, dated and cliche. Definitely not a date night kind of restaurant. Okay if you want a quick bite to eat in Lexington's downtown area since the other choices of restaurants are even worse. I would not go out of my way to eat here or anywhere else in Lexington for that matter. The mixed drinks in the bar are okay but it is never well stocked so you will be lucky to get a requested drink. Price are mid range on food and mixed drinks as well and beer is overpriced.
NON BBQ!. agree, finally a non-BBQ restaurant! and something opened on sunday night! i travel for my job and frequently must arrive on a sunday night for an early monday mtg -- thank goodness i found a sit-down, get waited on restaurant, serving beer and wine -- the service was great, food was very tasty, hot and fresh!
Great food, great price!. At long last, Lexington has a restaurant that doesn't offer BBQ! Shoto's is a wonderful change. The food is great, as well as affordable. The location is perfect, as is the atmosphere. For first-timers, I recommend the Combination Plate to try a bit of everything!
