Don't Expect Them to Deliver Your Baby. I ve been going here for my obgyn care, and had one of the doctors preform surgery on me. I have always been an admirer of the staff, however I do NOT understand how you can be a doctor, who knowingly is going to leave the practice and continue to see any pregnant women late in pregnancy, such as my daughter whom was suppose to be scheduled for a c-section around June 18th without caring enough about the care of your patient and their unborn child to let them know you are leaving!!! It is absolutly beyond my understanding as a human being you could continue to see someone all the way up to 36+ weeks without saying a word!!! Especially knowing that her previous pregnancy was high risk!!! I do have to say that the nursing staff and former Dr. Scherr (whom notified his patients three months prior to leaving the practice to move out of state) as well as the billing and appointment staff go the extra mile!!! To put someone in an unneccessary stressfull situation and scramble to find a doctor this late in a pregnancy is truely unbelievable!!!!! I can appreciate the fact you at least tried to set up something with MAHEC at the last minute, but this doesn’t give anyone this late in their pregnancy a chance to even get to know another doctor. And then to accidently find out that her ob is not going to be the one to do her surgery! (Husband pull website up to show his mom, whom their doctor was to get slapped in the face with the shocking news. This has to be the most unproffessional thing I have ever seen a practice do, and I work in a medical setting myself!!!! You will also be losing my patronage along with my daughter’s.

WNC OB-GYN DOES NOT DELIVER. We selected Dr. Hardenbergh of WNC-OBGYN for the delivery of our first child. Our child was born with life threatening health problems and Dr. Hardenbergh was not present even after she called during labor and said she would be. She did not make arrangements with other doctors from the WNC-OBGYN practice. Instead, they subcontracted for another doctor from another practice to deliver our baby. WNC-OBGYN literally DID NOT DELIVER. Our child also has a genetic disorder that could have been identified on a prenatal ultrasound, but wasn't. We recommend another practice because thats probably what you will end up with anyway at WNC-OBGYN.
