A Hidden Gem. We stayed at the Riverview Hotel recently and loved it. We were skeptical at first because some other reviews were less than flattering. However, we found the place to be enchanting and full of character, not like all the other motels we usually stay at. We took a chance and it was great. Even though we couldn't get a room with a view, our room was fine. The bed was comfy, the room clean & quiet, and the A/C was cold. That's really all we cared about. We weren't in the room that much because there was so much to do. After we ate the generous continental breakfast we headed for the ferry across the street with the picnic lunch the hotel packed for us. After a day at the beach we were ready for a nice meal in the hotel restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. We loved ouor weekend get-a-way. We will be back as soon as we can.
