BEST COUNTRY BAR IN LA!
by gravytrains at Citysearch
I LOVE THIS BAR! I've been to all the So. Cal. western bars and out of them all THIS ONE IS THE BEST!! It's everything you should expect from a country bar; good sized dance floor, knowledgable DJ, pool tables, good drink specials with 1/2 price appetizers from 4-8 pm, and service with a smile. The first time I went there (on a Sat. nite) we had a fairly big party (without a reservation) & the staff made sure we were seated promptly & they returned continually throughout the night to ensure we were having a good time & were being taken care of! The waitress remembered all of our drinks every time and was sweet enough to separate our bills. She even brought us a water pitcher and continually refilled it without us ever once asking her to do so! I've been to 5 star restaurants and haven't received such attention. The promoter (Scott) was genuinely friendly and worked the room, making sure everybody was enjoying themselves. The owner of the club introduced himself and bought us a round of drinks. When I wasn't ordering from my waitress, I returned to the bar and even the bartender remembered my drink and served it w/a smile! I never had to wait long at the bar and my drinks always tasted great. Even the bouncers were friendly! My friends and I were instantly hooked and now we go back every chance we get. The people who frequent the bar are serious dancers, and it's heavy into line dancing, however there are always people willing to teach you. And ladies, here's the best part: the guys (at least in my experience) have always been gentlemen and willing to teach those new to 2 stepping without the sleeze factor you get at other western bars! The regulars are very welcoming and quick to introduce themselves. On Sat's. there are 2 line dance lessons that start at 6:30 pm. The cover is only $5. I can't say enough good things about this bar. It has become my favorite haunt!!
- Pros: Great service, friendly regulars, good floor, ample free parking
- Cons: A bit of a drive from the metropolitan LA area
Good dancing, poor food...

I went there on a Friday night, salsa night...They offer free classes and it's a lot of fun!!! They also have country dancing on Thurs, Sat and every other Friday with lessons on TH and Sat. The food was no good but the drinks were decent...go there after dinner, to have a drink and dance!
- Pros: good dancing, free lessons, parking
- Cons: food
