Best experience ever

Happen to stumble upon Michael's when searching online and decided to try it. The best all around place I've ever been to. The service was amazing with all the staff being very attentive. Food was even more amazing, and the drinks were strong which is always a plus. Affordable for what you're getting, they offer a feature menu every month at a good price (appitizer, entree, and dessert, all at one price). Very romantic.....the entire place is lit up with candles and curtains dividing some of the tables to make it more private. They also have a live piano bar.

Superb Dining Experience

Definitely a place to go to celebrate. A special place for a special event... unless you can afford to do it more often than sometimes. The first thing you'll notice is the decor and ambiance of the place when you step into their rather modest looking location. But once inside, youll know that youre in, not only for a culinary feast, but a night of a great dining experience. The servers were very courteous and patient when it came to our orders. He was very well versed with the selections on the menu and made good suggestions. He was also versed with the wine they had and offered a good selection for us to choose. The food was definitely way above average and the price was worth it. I seldom send my compliments to the chef, but that particular night, I had to. And no auto gratuity so, if you're happy with the food and service, you're free to show your appreciation. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sarasota. Im just disappointed to have been there on a tuesday when its the only day of the week they don't have their entertainer. Perhaps on my next visit.

A must first stop for anyone visiting Sarasota

A sophisticated dining experience that places you deep in the Art Deco time period. The service staff makes you feel like royalty. They are completely educated in food and wine. The menu is made with deep flavors that has you wanting to sample many items. Michael's wine list is constructed for the the wine novice to the enthusiast. The piano bar is always crowded with activity. You will think some of your favorite artists are singing for you. Candle lights fill the restaurant which gives it a wonderful romantic charm. My favorites are the bone in rib-eye or fillet. Michael's has to be a first stop for anyone visiting Sarasota. Ed

Excellent food, service and experience.

The dining room is very pretty, however if it is cool outside an organized event of any kind would be wonderful just outside under the twinkly lights and surrounded by plants.
