these people are worthless lying bastards and i just caught them in the act. long story short, i live in jacksonville and was responding to an ad for a car listed at $13,700... i was waiting all day on additional pictures before the manager called me back and jacked the price of the car up by $3100, bringing it to over $16,800!!! he said the ad was a misprint... but never changed the price... i called them back the next day with the car still listed at $13,700 trying to find out what the deal was... i called them 10 or 11 times with no answer, then i used *67 to block my number and sure enough they answered right away!! i got different stories from the salesman and manager... after calling the manager out on the lies i caught them in (salesman said it sold today for $13,700, and the manager said it sold yesterday for $16,000 even tho the price was still listed at $13,700) he couldn't say anything other than "i dunno"... obviously they didn't want to deal with an out of towner, but there was no reason to lie to me like this. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCUMBAGS!!! THEY JUST WANT THE FASTEST PENNY POSSIBLE!!
The worst in service, ever! I asked for an estimate on my vehicle. I left to go shopping and when I returned and they decided to fix it without my authorization and tried to charge me. I signed nothing and was under the impression my extended warranty covered everything. After a call to GM, they had no choice but to call it a "Goodwill" gesture. Another incident was when they needed to keep my car overnight and I needed a rental car which is covered under my warranty. I did not want to use Enterprise which is at their onsite location. I went home without a rental car. After a call to GM I found out my extended warranty wilI cover ANY rental car agency. The service man told me he was NOT allowed to inform me of this because they have some sort of contract with enterprise. I would advise NO ONE to do business with people like this.
My wife and I needed a "new" vehicle
for our growing family, so we began our search on the internet. We found this dealership had MANY vehicles that fit our needs and they had some of the best prices for comparable in the greater Tampa Bay area...so we made the hour drive down. We were greeted by Tim and helped us located the vehicles we were looking for. Tim did a GREAT job of getting all the vehicles we were considering side-by-side so we could compare them closely, he even brought one from their Mazda dealership across the street. Tim went through each vehicle, pointing out features that we would have otherwise missed, and he paid close attention to our wants and needs.
We ended up deciding on a Pre-Owned 2011 Ford Flex, and it was in GREAT shape. Tim asked us several times if we felt comfortable with the decision and made sure this was a vehicle we would not only be happy with today...but for years to come. After we told him we were certain, we sat down and started working numbers and the payment was a little higher than we wanted to be at. Tim took the time to talk to the Pre-Owned Manager, Larry, who was sure to come over and show us the Retail Value and Comparison Pricing for the vehicle we chose....they were already WELL BELOW the pricing on both. Larry asked us to give him a few minutes, went back to his office and was able to work out a deal that made us happy, even though they had to give us more for our trade than it was really worth.
I am very pleased with my buying experience at this dealership. I never felt like they were trying to push me into anything and they listened to our concerns and preferences. They even offer a year of FREE MAINTENANCE, unfortunately I’m an hour away, otherwise I would definitely get good use of that. This dealership is family owned and operated and they treat their customers like part of the family…that’s rare these days. I’m extremely happy with our new vehicle AND proud to be a part of the Cox Family. Thank you Cox Chevrolet, Larry and especially Tim!!!
