I drove BO over 350 miles for treatment; what no other vet could figure out...they did in 20 minutes. Within days BO was much better. Now he's like a puppy again!!!The vets in the Florida Keys all wanted to do extensive testing (which were all basically "inconclusive") I felt their prescibed cures were hurting him more than the ailment?I will now take BO for a "road trip" whenever he needs care; it is more than worth the cost of the drive!!!
they were ready for me right after I arrived. they had everything you could possibly need!
They always try to get me in as soon as possible. it was in a safe enough neighborhood. they were able to provide everything they said they would. they were glad to help me with anything I needed.
they are very knowledgable and gave me great advice. Absolutely! I always get sound, helpful, and completely unbiased advice!
Best Vet ever!!!! as another said :D
My cat Be'lo had gotten in to some Odaban and licked it off herself, I took her to a ER the previous night ( When it happened ) I could not afford everything to save her so I got what I could and they sent me home with her. The next day, a few hours later, she was even worse. I drove around town, I checked Kindmess on cortez then Bayshore over by FL Blvd, no one would help with the little amount of money I had, even just the office visit price was out of my range. I was desperate and crying I was watching my beautiful black baby dieing right there and there was nothing I could do. I had been to Bradenton small animal Hospital in the past and lost a cat to them. I didn't want to go back but something told me I had to and sure enough I got there and before they even gave me a price they looked at my baby and took her right from me whisking her away to the back. Dr. Logas came right away, I had no appointment and had just walked in but there she was comforting me and better yet she had took a quick look at my baby and had nurses already helping my Be'lo. Dr. Logas asked what had happened and I told her and she rushed off again to check out Be'lo moments later she was back and told me she had given Be'lo a 15$ shot and bathed her and had cool towels on her because she was severely dehydrated and had a fever of 106 and rising. Dr. Logas took the time to explain things and listen to me I asked how much ever thing was and told her how much I had and she worked with me like no others would do. Dr. Logas gave me instructions because I could not afford a over night stay, where Bayshore had offered to put her down :O! I was told she had a chance to live by Dr. Logas, it was only a 50%- 50% chance but it was a chance at lest. Dr. Logas saved my baby Be'lo's life, had she not had me give her gatorade ( or pedialyte ) and told me to keep her under cool wet towels alone with a few cool baths with dawn to get the rest of the chemicals off her skin Be'lo surely would have passed away, instead I am happy to say she is alive and well 5 months later. Thank you Dr. Logas you sure have made a big difference for Bradenton's small animal hospital, I will go no where else now :)
Staff and Doctor really listen, willing to work with you, greatly helpful and really care!!!
I was referred to this place by several friends when I wanted a second opinion on a thousand dollar surgical procedure for my dog. The doctors advised against the surgery and sent us on our way with vitamin supplements and rimadyl and I have a healthy, happy dog again. Shots and an annual examination are a fraction of the cost at other vets. And the love these doctors have for the animals is open and obvious. When we adopted a kitten a short time ago and needed to have him declawed, they performed the procedure for $75. All the other local vets quoted me $300 and up. Our kitty recovered fully in less than a week. Yes there are sometimes long waits. The place looks like a dump. The front desk staff is sometimes a little brusque. But it's well worth it for the peace of mind, the level of care and the affordable fees.
One of my good friends has taken his 13 yr old dog to this place since she was a puppy. If he said the vet was good and the prices terrific, I believed him. I have two small dogs that have gotten great care. In fact both of them were spayed there and they bounced back within 48 hours. The ambiance is not glamorous but the staff is all about taking great care of pets.
THANK YOU Dr Logas and staff. You saved the day again for my four dogs, and my foster dog.
I love Dr. Butler. I will agree that the place is old, and that Dr. Butler is also old, however he is a wonderful vet. He practices what I would consider "old school vet medicine". His prices are excellent, and I have taken my dogs to him for several years. Other vets I have taken my dogs to have given me the run around, told me my dogs NEEDED stuff that they didn't, then jacked up the prices at least 300%. This doesnt happen with Dr. Butler, he truly loves animals of all kinds, and cares for them and their owners with a caring honesty that you dont find elsewhere. So,if it matters to you that the facility is brand new, or that the doctor is young and graduated recently, then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place with a very caring, loving vet who is doing this not to make money but to help animals, and dont care if the facility is old or the staf is not in matching scrubs, then you may want to consider the Bradenton Small Animal Hospital.
