most proffessional service. 2000 chevy van .. i had taken my car to two other transmission repair shops in the area and i was told i needed a new (rebuilt ) transmission at a cost of 1800.00 dollars!! they had diagnois the problem without even driving my car... they said they can tell i needed one just from what i told them! I really did't feel comfortable with that but beginning to think that maybe they are that good being two places told me i need a transmission from what i had explained to them..Anyway my neighbor told me about aamco transmissions in port charlotte ..He told me that he had a similar experiance with his car having repair shops diaignose his vehicle without even a road test!!!!HE told me that he finnally found someone who took the time to not only have me explain what my complaint was, then took me out for a road test to verifiy that i was complaining about but then hooked up a a machine to the cars computer which i didnt even know there was a plug for that right under my feet... never knew there was anything there!...anyway with the machine they found i had a sensor that was bad but not bad enough to make the check engine light come on.. so it would be very diffcult to find without hooking up to the computer and driving the car. i was took by doug the service manager that the total cost of the repair would be 354.00 ...i agreed to have the work done and can't believe my car runs perfect.... i learned a big lesson from this experience..never have any work done without have the car go through a complete checkup first.. i would recommend aamco tranmissions to anyone who need there car repaired...thank again to doug and all the guys at aamco

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. This was my experience with Aamco. On October 26th at around 7:45 am my car broke down at my home. I felt that Aamco had a national reputation I could feel comfortable with and feel like I had recourse should anything go awry. He assured me that they would look into the head gasket option and give me an estimate. Aamco also said it would need authorization for $500 to
