Food is ok..not great but ok.. however the service is a nightmare!!! – I went to Sals one day to sit and have a relaxing lunch with my husband. The pizza I got was ok, but the waitress... was not....She was this skinny little highschool girl who dressed badly. She had taken my husbands order and then turned around to leave! I said excuse me miss.. I didn't order yet.. so she turned around and said.. oh.... sorry... with a roll of her eyes.. Then she came to the table to refill my husbands soda.. I asked her for a refill on mine as well.. she left the table and never came back until we finished eating!! THEN... to top it off.. On our way out the door she proceeded to ask my husband for his phone number!!!!!!! It took every ounce of self control for me to not say something extremely rude to her.. Ladies... if you go to Sals Pizza parlor with a good looking guy... keep him away from their waitresses... The food.. not too bad.. the service.... a nightmare.
Rude help, lousy undercooked pizza. Gives New York a bad name – About a week ago I went into Sal's in Cape Coral, Florida to pick up an pizza. As I patently waited I noticed a pizza being put in a box and set down beside the register. After a few minutes of waiting in line behind one other customer, a rather rotund young lady asked me what I wanted and I got the impression I was bothering her. Oh well, no big deal. At least not by this point.
told her the name the pizza was ordered under and she proceeded to look for it. Obviously, mine wasn't the one sitting right next to her. She wandered around the kitchen for a few minutes as she chatted with co-workers, occassionally glancingt at the large revolving oven. It must have completed four or five revolutions by the time she finally determined that it wasnt there.
After wandering around for another moment or two, the pieces finally fell into place and a lightbulb went off. Yes, the pizza that had now been sitting there for over five minutes was, in fact, mine and now hardly hot. When she handed it over I simply had to roll my eyes but still said nothing. Then, as I turned and left the store she shouted "You got a problem or something!?!?!?"
I have a problem.
I called ED, the owner/manager and after informing of the rudeness demonstrated by his employee he basically told me to screw myself. He assumed that I must have been rude to egg on his employee. Again, I said nothing to her until she roared at me and when she did I still managed to contain my emotions and simply question how she could spend five minutes looking for a pizza that sat only inches away from her.
Never again, even if the pizza was good, which it wasn't. Picking fights with customers makes for bad business.
