Beautiful

by kreaves

I grew up in Lake Wales and was at Bok Tower every summer. It is great for picnics, taking pictures, relaxing, and enjoyinga break from the everyday life. There are lots of nice places to hike, as well as places to just sit and enjoy nature. At Christmsa there are lots of special events in the Gardens, and they decorate for Christmas at Pinewood (an old Spanish style house owned by Bok Tower Sanctuary).

I recommend this for any couple, family, or single person who appreciates nature. You will not leave without a couple fond memories.

Amazing Getaway

by hiddenimage0809

I have been here both with family and my boyfriend, and it is a wonderful spot to relax, have a picnic (if you can get the squirrels to stay away, they'll eat right out of your hand :) ) and just walk and admire the gardens. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

  • Pros: quiet, getaway, inexpensive
  • Cons: some days noisy kids
