Poor service,cold food.
cold food ,ribs good but brisket was cold, macaroni the worst i think was old,the service terrible ,our server Pauline seemed not to happy to serve us ,maybe because we showed up at 9:10 pm.
Inexpensive barbecue is the main draw at this reliable Southeastern chain.. In Short Owner Sonny Tillman has been serving the same Southern barbecue and fixings since 1968. A common roadside stop, Sonny's offers low prices and barbecue; roomy booths, wagon-wheel chandeliers and homey craft art are the standard dining room decor. House barbecue sauce, available sweet, regular or hot, spices up large helpings of smoked beef, pork, chicken, turkey and ribs. Sides like fresh fried okra, onion rings and barbecue beans complement the entrees.
BBQ on the cheap.
Cheap BBQ - they often have all you can eat for $.$$, but cheap is not always mean good. The meat can be dry (good thing they have the sauces there on the table for you...), not what I consider true, slow cooked BBQ. Sonny's takes a good thing and tried to mass-market it. I prefer the small, out of the way joints that take the time to do it right.
Sonny's a chain restaurant, it's okay but....
Good same old, same old place. Food and value are good but... lacks something. Seems somewhat plastic , if ya know what I mean. Needs something maybe music?
