St. Patty's Day Drink Deals.
I've been looking for things to do with my friends for this St. Patty's Day and I found a great website that has a list of all the Irish bars in town (including this one) and their drink specials. It was really helpful. Check it out at Metromix online.

Good Food, Good Beer.
We have been going to Fox and Hound for many years, since the ban on inside smoking happened, they switched their much larger menu down to a limited menu and their kitchen is only open during dinner hours now.
They allow smoking inside since they are considered a bar rather than a restaurant, so that is good or bad depending on if you smoke or not. For a non-smoker it's not the most pleasant environment during busy hours.
Their beer and food is great, their prices are very reasonable. They serve one of the best cheeseburgers in town and they have live music during certain days of the week and they have also have dart boards at no charge. It's worth a stop in, if you like English and Irish beers and the atmosphere of an old Irish pub it's a great place to go.

Located in a circa 1920s building, it's known for good pub grub..
The Scene
A home away from home for Brandon's Irish community and anybody else with a yen for the Eire. It's most definitely Celtic, especially on the weekends after the sun goes down, the entertainment cranks up and the Guinness cranks in. Fox & Hounds is a cozy little pub where if you're lucky you might stumble onto a Caeli (all-night session) and enjoy the kind of spontaneous party that can go on until the wee hours of the morning. Irish musicians can be found there most weekends entertaining with rousing renditions of everything from "Black Velvet Band" to "What Do You Do with a Drunken Sailor?" But if it's a quiet night you're looking for, best save this little pub for weeknights when the Harp is flowing just as freely, but the tempo's a bit more low-key.
Can You Say Pub Grub?
Catch lunch or dinner between rounds of imported and domestic beer, wine or Irish coffee. Or just order a heaping platter of fries or fish and chips. Yum.

Cough Cough.
The sign says "Best in Brandon 2002", but not sure what they were referring too. Saturday night, about 8pm, 8 people in the whole place. Really smoky too. Food was good, service just O.K. No live music until later...don't think I'll revisit.
