FOOD POISONING!!
by Debra Jean
My husband and I used to frequent Stacey's. Usually, 2 or 3 times a week. The last time we ate out at Stacey's was on 1/1/2012. The next day my husband started having watery diarrhea and I had abdominal pain and had one bout of diarrhea.
Unfortunately, my husbands' got worse and we racked our brains trying to figure out what we ate. The ONLY place we ate out was Stacey's and I ended up taking my husband to the hospital on 1/6/2012 because the diarrhea only was getting worse. He ended up getting 3 liters of NS because of the dehydration! If it weren't for the Gatorade and Powerade aid I was giving him he could have died!!.
I'm a RN and was able to take care of him. We were able to pinpoint the food...it was the white cheddar seashell entree they served that day. This was the only food we both consumed. It did not smell bad and so he ate a hugh helping while I only ate 3 seashell noodles. (I didn't eat anymore only because I didn't like it that much.)
The economy is affecting the way some of the food industry is serving. Beware!! This could have KILLED him..
This is the first time I have EVER written a review and am sorry that it is so bad but the public needs to be aware!!
Eat there at your own risk!!
Homestyle Value
by Theorion
Value for the dollar. Good, solid homestyle fare for when you've had the kind of day where you don't feel like cooking real sit-down dinner food. They don't ply you with gratuitous carbs... you choose. As much or little as your conscience allows. Folks are friendly. Downside... furnishings are dated, quirky and tired; often booths are out-of-service from upholstery issues.
- Pros: Best non-chain fried chicken I've had locally
- Cons: furnishings are becoming shopworn
