Bad service. We went there four times because their advertising say this restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant in town. But their services are horrible. We wait about 20 minutes for the food to be put on the table. The food is just ok. The decoration of restaurant is not stylish at all. It is very dark even during the lunch time. I am not sure why people say this is the best Chinese restaurant in Gainesville, Florida. We definitely will not to go back again after four times bad experience with the same service and the food.

Only place in town for real Chinese food.. I discovered the pleasure of dining at Mr. Han's when I started at the University of Florida in 1986. I remember this is where I discovered the wonderful Chinese dumpling and other great delicacies. Even though I have lived in the Northeast since 1990, I still trek to Mr. Han's whenever possible when I visit my family. It's very difficult to find Chinese food in the US that is not ruined with too much oil and sugar. I lived in China for a year. Mr. Han's can get you close to the real thing. Try asking Eric Han for recommendations and let him know you want the real stuff. Chinese food can be healthy! Call a few weeks ahead for an authentic Chinese feast. Give this place a chance. They can deliver better than anything else in the Gainesville area.

Best Chinese in Gainesville?. I would argue that Mr. Han's serves the best chinese food in Gainesville. That's not saying much though considering that most so-called Chinese places in this town are buffets and heavily Americanized.

There are not a lot of vegetarian choices at Mr. Han's. In fact, I think that there is one choice total on the whole menu. For meat eaters, they offer a couple of 'full dinner' choices which look expensive at first, but are actually quite a good deal. You will need to have a party of 4 or more meat-eaters to partake of their full meal feasts. For $20-24 per person, you get a 5 course chinese meal including salad, appetizer, soup, choices of entrees, and dessert.

The restaurant also features a full bar. They have a menu of creative mixed drinks that are expensive, but quite strong and worth the money.
